Got my Model 10 yesterday and am extremely pleased. Gun was exactly as advertised. Finish is quite rubbed from holster wear and handles are in rough shape. Mechanically in great condition. Tight lock-up, no surface rust, no pitting. Barrel is in excellent shape and appears to have been fired very little. Couldn't ask for anything better for the price.

Ordered two Model 10 square butt trade ins. One had some surface rust and wear on the barrel probably 60% finish. Good tight lock up. Number two had what I consider lots of surface rust and finish was at 60-70%, lock up was loose, there were dings in the frame, and gouges in the grip, I told my FFL that I was going to refuse to accept the second pistol. He gave me that look, and asked what Buds return policy was? I said the web site says If you aren't happy refuse to accept it, he said he would call them the next day and see. He called me the next morning and said it was easy, a return shipping label was sent to him. When Buds got the gun back they sent me an email asking what I wanted to do and to call them, I called and got voice mail, I left my order number and name and they called me back the next day I asked, for another pistol and got it the next day. The replacement was a keeper.

Just got mine yesterday. Overall appearance is a decent amount of surface rust with some sneaky rust under the grips. Nothing some 0000 steel wool and oil won't be able to cure. Bluing was pretty worn from being in a holster. Standard grips that are showing some age, but no huge chunks missing. Mechanically it is top notch. Mine was probably more closer to 80% if not 75%, but I'm not complaining because if I wanted something pretty then I would have bought new. Closest I have been able to determine manufacture is 1981. This is a pretty good deal, have to feel it in your hands to appreciate...can't wait to poke holes in the bull's eye with this one.
