gun shoots great ......no issues what so ever .....have about 600 rounds through it .....sights are not good ....they are very small but i think that s the way they were on the original issue 1911 way back in the day .....slide to frame fit is not the best but loose is good for reliability .....all in all its a pretty god gun

Out of the case, look good. Finish on trigger guard has rough edges. Sights don't leave much to be desired. Over all look of the Girsan looks great: chrome finish on slide contrasts with the mat finish frame, grips look & feel good but seems the screws might be metric? Can't use everyday grip screws. The hole size is much smaller than the run of the mill screws. Either I try to get the bushings changed or I stay with the factory grips & screws (which look very 'machine' like). I'm guessing for the price, it would be a good platform to build on. I'd recommend it to friends but also tell 'em not to be expecting too much. I just received it yesterday (3-3-15) & have yet to shoot it.

So far i have no complaints! I took this gun out shooting and it has nice weight and feel with no problems while shooting. I own several 1911's and this one compared to the others is on even quality and i paid way more then double for the rest of them. I would recommend this gun to anyone and with the forever replacement for only 20 bucks you cant beat it.

This Girsan is a whale of a pistol for the money. Trigger is a bit heavy at 6.5 lbs. I installed a les brown sear spring and adjusted to 3.75 lbs. It is sooo smooth and shoots where you hold it. I love it!

I ordered went through Friday, i got a call on Wednesday, Picked up my new 1911 this afternoon from the local FFL and I have to say that I am impressed with this firearm. the finish is (almost) flawless, though she is beautiful. The slide to frame fit is amazing; I thought for the price it would be rocking back and forth, nope this jewel is tight. No grit, just smooth and crisp. The trigger is heavy. However, I think with this being the G2, they lightened the spring, she feels about 5.5-6lbs, not nearly as heavy as some of the older reviews (I can be certain until I find my tool to measure.) I bought new grips as well, but with the way the grips look on this one, I may keep them on there for awhile. the ONLY real downside to this 1911 is the sights on it, they are awful, and by awful, I mean you cant see the front one at all, dark painted metal tends to blend right into the same color dark painted metal. they will be replaced, that's for sure. Since I haven't fired a round yet, I cant comment on that yet, I'm trying to do that this weekend, however for the price and quality of this firearm, you can bet I will be buying at least 1 more of these very soon!
