I would like to thank Adams Arms and Buds for giving people such an incredible bargain. This rifle was very close to being perfect rather than blemished. The only thing I have found wrong with it; the dust cover will not close. I think I can and will figure out a way to fix it, This was a great opportunity to test out my first piston designed AR. I chose the carbine model and sure glad I did... it is soooo light. This is a well made rifle from Adams Arms and another fine purchase from Buds!

Mine did have a few minor scratches to the barrel, flash hider and front grip ring, but nothing too terribly off putting. When I took it apart it to check the internals it was absolutely filthy! Mine must had been a test gun or something. So, I did what any one would do. I put it back together, checked for bore obstructions and then fired it straight out of the box with no lube or cleaning. It malfunctioned with about 6 FTE's in a row. After the 7th round it took off and began running like a scalded dog with no more malfunctions. I guess it shook loose the caked on carbon that had jammed up the piston movement. Don't think you can neglect cleaning it because it is supposedly more reliable! After I finished shooting I took it apart and cleaned it thoroughly and have not had another malfunction in the past 500 rounds. I feel that this is a quality AR type rifle and it feels much more substantial (and heavier) than my M&P 15 Sport. It is pretty accurate, although I feel my M&P 15 is a little more so. I think the M&P has a better trigger, which probably has a lot to do with it. It is, at least to mine and my Son's ears, much louder than a direct impingement AR. This is a great deal on a very good rifle. Buds shipped this rifle incredibly fast. I traded in a pistol and as soon as they received my trade in this one was on the way. I received it in two days. If you are wanting a AR rifle this is the best deal going right now. I may buy another one very soon.

I am an Ex Infantry Special forces team competitor and have several AR's and I am highly impressed with this rifle. I would recommend this to anyone that wants a reasonably priced plinker. I put a competition 2 stage trigger group in this and it shoots as well as my Colt CP 20" barrel competition rifle, for accuracy. I couldn't find any blemishes and after the first time out it had some scratches that are inevidable for a rifle to used as these are meant to be used. The aren't a pretty wood stock that is a gun cabinet decoration, they are meant to be shot. I bought this for my young son's to use for a deer rifle, it is adjustable for one round and bolt action and the stock will fit both thier needs. I put a Burris AR 332 and it will definately keep you tight at 500 yards.

You get what you pay for unfortunately. I ran 100 rounds through it and noticed the firing pin/ retainer cotter pin that is installed on the bolt carrier is to large and wasted the upper. Quality control is less than par.
