I won this in one of Buds auctions at a good price, and this is the first firearm I bought from them. I wanted to wait a little while after playing around with it before I gave it any type a rating. The first thing I did was take another reviewers advice, and change out 3 hex screws, and followed the rest of his advice before even taking it out to shoot. It was very inexpensive to do, and did it need it? Not sure, but I can say I have put over 500 rounds thru this baby and not one problem... it's been working flawlessly. I have the black one, and i'm so impressed, i'm looking to but the Desert Tan MK22. I wouldn't think twice about buying another, and telling anyone to go for it, It's a lot of fun. I'm going to copy and paste what another reviewer said you should try to avoid any possible problems. I did them, and I all I can say is this thing rocks:
Excellent shipping from Buds as always.
This is a very reliable 22lr and accurate rifle. But....be careful. Their are three socket bolts that need to be changed:
Vertical screw: stainless steel socket head cap screw M4x0.7x18mm
Horizontal screw: stainless steel socket head cap screw M4x0.7x16mm*
Butt Stock Plate screw: black oxide or stainless steel socket head cap screw M4x0.7x12mm.
The screws that come with it aren't of the highest quality(soft).
I purchased replacements at drillspot.com
Otherwise they can strip out causing the bolt to move resulting in misfires. You should use BLUE Loctite on the afformentioned screws as well.
Youtube for breakdown.
http://rrages.com/ sells HK spring loaded pins for the lower so you don't have to deal with unscrewing every time you break it down
