The beautiful high grade walnut, the intricate checkering and ribbon detail, the integral Weaver style scope mounts, the stylized interchangeable bolt handle, and the sleek feel and superb balance all add up to one beautiful gun, but that's not all. There are so many technical, mechanical and performance-enhancing features on T/C's new Icon that it can't really be compared to other bolt actions. From the revolutionary Interlok Bedding System, to the innovative T-Slot Extractor, the Icon is the ultimate in accuracy, precision and reliability. The Icon comes chambered in popular calibers (22-250, 243, 308, and the new 30 TC). Thompson/Center teamed with Hornady to engineer a cartridge designed to work perfectly with the Icon. It's a 30 caliber medium action cartridge with the velocity and knock-down power of a 30-06 cartridge. Take a look for yourself and see the new era of bolt action firearms.

Well built quality firearm, extremely accurate out of the box, only down side was it fell under a factory recall but I must commend the factory for a quick trouble free return (picked up and delivered from my residence) at no cost to me in less than 8 days...kudos to them

I just bought the icon 243 (field grade walnut stock) for $525 shipped from Budsgunshop... I took it to the range on thursday and it is amazing! Took it to the range an sighted it in at 100 yds, then fired off these 3-shot and 5-shot groups: [url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/28137960@N02/8501012490/][-

I saw this rifle listed at Buds at a lower price than some distributors are getting for them wholesale. They are excellent rifles at any cost with match grde chambers, and TC's renouned barrel work. It came with a very nicly checkered piece of straight grain walnut, and TC's excellent full plate bedding system. I have yet to shoot it (waiting on rings) but have no doubt about the kind of results I will get. I have two other Icons, and both are sub-minute rigs with the first loads I worked up for them. Classy rifle at an unbeatable price.

Excellent caftsmanship trigger had no creep, adjusted down to 3.7lb. Very nice stock with excellent wood. rifle is as accurate as any you can buy .49 inch at 100 yards. I have two more icons in 30TC and they are just as accurate or better. .35 on one.I have never had a rifle as accurate as the icons right out of the box.

These are extremely accurate riffles right out of the box. The action is as smooth as any regardless of price. The last one I bought did not have a great trigger though. Most Icons I have have no creep, but this one had a lot of creep which is disappointing. Also, the rifle in the picture here is NOT THE one you will receive, you will receive the field grade model which does not have the ribbon checkering, and the walnut is not as nice.
