Picked this rifle up from my FFL today. Shipping was slow,(10 days) but I wasn't in no hurry. Fit and finish are awesome! The hand guards/rails are very high quality. I am not sure what brand they are, but they are pretty cool. Magpul accessories are awesome. The whole rifle is mil spec and the over all quality is VERY GOOD. I was in the Marines as an 0311 rifleman and this Core 15 is way better than the new FN Herstal M4 carbines we got.

The only thing I would recommend is changing the trigger. It's a basic mil spec type with nothing special. Other than that the rifle is perfect!

I will be doing business again with Buds.

My experience with Bud's gun shop was outstanding! The weapon system was well built with quality parts really didn't find any deficiencies other than there being a minor space between the upper and lower receiver. All and all my experience was good! I am definitely going to return and do business with Bud's gun shop.

Took exactly 2 weeks to get to my local FFL. Inspected rifle and everything was good to go. No scratches or anything. Checked the guts and everything looked good and properly functioned.

This rifle is a beauty. Had it out to the range and everybody was coming up asking about it.

The specs on this rifle are super TIGHT. there is no slop anywhere. I put 600 rounds Lake City 55g 5.56 through it in under 3 hours just to start loosening it up. Didn't have any problems. No FTE or FTF.

The quality of this rifle is top notch. I own Colt, Armalite and a Bravo Compnay ARs and this Core 15 6408 I have no doubt will stand toe to toe with any of them.

I would suggest buying one before the Core 15 name grows in recognition and the prices on these rifles jump up.

They have a lifetime "No BS" warranty that if they stand by makes this an even better buy.

.... The rifle as mentioned above comes super dry out the case. Oil it up really really good before you head out for fun.

I spent countless hours and about 3 weeks reading every review I could find on 3 different rifles and decided to go with the Core. Very happy I did.

I opened the plastic hard case to start inspecting the rifle when I saw the little plastic orange stopper (to show the bolt is open for shipping) cracked in half. Not a biggie but I decided to make my already planned thorough inspection even more thorough before accepting the transfer. I took the rifle out of the case, safety checked it, then started taking it apart and inspecting all components very carefully. The charging handle did not want to come out of the rifle very easily, nor did it want to go back in without a little bit of force. I'm in the Army and very familiar with disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, and reassembling the rifles so it certainly wasn't user error ;) After inspecting all the internals and externals, performing another safety check of the chamber and bore, I did a function check on the rifle. I pointed the rifle in a safe direction, charged the handle, put the rifle on safe and squeezed the trigger to verify the safety was in fact working, which it was. I then flipped the safety to fire and pulled the trigger, the hammer fell and the trigger felt very crisp.

On the outside of the rifle was a decent sized scratch on the side with the safety near where the lower receiver and the stock meet. Not a huge deal but I was a little bummed it had its first scratch. Not nearly enough to mark off a star of the rating. I had my FFL install a TAPCO sling adapter and bought a cheapie generic 1 point sling. I took the rifle home and added all my toys to it. I really like that it came factory with MAGPUL furniture, a MAGPUL RBUIS, and a pretty sweet looking free floating quad rail system.

The rifle did seem very dry when it arrived, and I think that might have been the issue with the charging handle. I applied an ample amount of Rem Oil to the rifle before starting to shoot at the range. This rifle was super easy to zero the BUIS even with cheap Tula steel ammo. I was zeroed and verified in 15 rounds.

I didn%uFFFD%uFFFDt have any issues that I think are the rifles fault and I only shot cheep Tula steel ammo. I also shot some Gen 2 Magpul PMAGs and some Army surplus magazines that I acquired. The rifle had zero FTFs and zero FTEs with the Magpuls, but had a couple feeding issues with some of the Army surplus magazines. They were the older M16 magazines with the brown follower and I had one completely disintegrate on me, I couldn%uFFFD%uFFFDt find the follower or the spring after about 10 minutes of looking lol. I would bet the issues I had with it feeding were ALL the magazines fault, and not at all the rifles. It also seemed to be isolated to one or two old surplus mags I had, which strengthens my argument that it was the magazines fault.

By the end of the day I shot about 120 rounds on the first day of the range, again all cheap Tula steel without issues that were the rifles fault. I got a chance to play around with my used EOTech as well. Pretty awesome rifle and I%uFFFD%uFFFDm happy I went with CORE, you can%uFFFD%uFFFDt go wrong with their warranty. If a company is willing to stand behind their product for life, regardless of if you%uFFFD%uFFFDre the original owner, whether it%uFFFD%uFFFDs been shot once or had 40,000 rounds shot through it, I think that says a lot about the company, that they are proud of the rifles they make and it also shows they believe they will hold up over time. Again couldn%uFFFD%uFFFDt be happier with my transaction and the CORE 15 rifle. Looking forward to the next time I get to shoot it.

Aaron
