Ordered my 45 Double Tap on Friday evening, the 24th, and received it at my local gun shop today the 30th. Outstanding service from Bud's Gun Shop, and everything was in excellent shape and exactly as specified online!! Took it out to a private range, and put a dozen or so rounds through it. Shoots well, with top barrel, as expected, printing about 4" higher. Much has been made of what a "beast" this gun is, but with the ported barrels, I found it very reasonable in recoil, and did not experience any problems with full 230 grain loads. Fit and function of the gun is of a high quality, and I would recommend this firearm to anyone looking for a two shot backup derringer in a powerful caliber. Will be a perfect complement to my Para Nite Hawg or other 45s for everyday CCW.

Perfect for my needs, for a great price. Had a minor issue with shipping and FFL, but the customer service was quick, painless, amazing, and incredibly friendly--felt as though I was talking to a close friend.
The .45ACP ported Doubletap is an understated, stealthy, solid, and quality defensive firearm. Easily concealed with a Mil-Spec durable finish, it is practical and efficient. Built like a tank is a great way to describe it.

Made my purchase of the Double Tap on the 16th of October, received my pistol yesterday the 22nd... Have not shot it yet but I'm expecting a bite and will be disappointed if there's not one... Don't plan to shot it beyond a few here and there... Didn't plan to shoot it everyday simply because it wasn't made for that... Very happy thus far,, I'd been look at derringers but I'm much happier with this purchase.... I already had a 45acp PT145 Mill. Pro, which I also purchased from Bud's... Really like that it matches my ammo of 45acp... Thanks To Everyone at Bud's on both purchases... I'm already planning my next purchase....!!!

Big, thin, but no regrets so far. This handgun is much bigger than the manufacturer claims. It is thin but I think if you wanted small concealable handgun there are many other small products on the market with same, or similar, caliber. Its size is the only reason I did not give it 5 stars. The firearm quality is 5 stars but in comparison to what else is out there, I have to give it 4 stars. Before purchasing, I saw tons of reviews (articles and videos) that claim this to be brute to fire - I don't care; I bought it anyway. It was its smallish, snag-free, 'double action' of a sorts, and almost infallible functionality that drew me to it. To me it is the best companion to a 1911 firer. Bud's is of course infallible. My only issue was timing: I ordered it weeks before they offered a kit of sorts that featured both 9 & 45, which I would have loved. I still plan to purchase a 9mm conversion barrel, but they are almost as much as full firearm, so I'm torn.
