This is the second one I have bought from Buds and as you would excpect from Buds there was no problem. The gun was absolutely brilliant! Love the way these guns shoot! I'm sure it won't be the last one of these that I buy.

Excellent. New build, fit and finish is very nice. Bolt appears to be chromed and not stainless (it is magnetic), sights are dead on out of the box and front sight post is dead center in the sight block. Accuracy is acceptable considering the standard short sight radius. Heavier than standard barrel is stout. Although it isn't chrome lined it is nice and polished down the bore and cleans easily.

Comes with a double stack bolt and a mag well that appears to have been opened up, so not an original double stack from Zastava. The milling work is clean and even, although it would be nice if they would finish it off with some cold blue.

Trigger is a Tapco G2, very smooth, light pull. Haven't measured pull weight, would guess around 3-4 lbs. Fore grip and buttstock are finished nicely and fit outstanding. Although, the western style buttstock just doesn't work unless you are planning on utilizing the left side scope mount. I immediately changed out the buttstock for an RFT tactical skeleton stock. Pistol grip is comfortable and functional, and I personally like the way it looks.

Safety was initially VERY tight, but a little tweaking of the selector arm and all is well. Gas tube lever is also very tight requiring a pair of pliers. A little filing on the gas tube would solve this, but I prefer it tight over loose. Should wear in over time.

Reliabilty to this point is 100%. Came with one Tapco and what appears to be a surplus Romanian mag. The surplus mag looks like it was used as a hammer a time or two. A few minutes with some pliers and the baseplate was functional once again and the mag functioned perfectly.

Overall this is a fantastic rifle and an outstanding value. You are getting a solid, new manufactured quality gun. When comparing to other AKM's around the same price point this one is heads and shoulders above in just about every aspect. Great buy.

I've bought mags and other parts from buds and they've been great. Wish they shipped to PO boxes, however. This was my first firearm purchase from Buds and it went just as well. Now for the rifle. It's awesome. I spent a lot of time researching, reviewing, and shooting AK variants. This thing is a beast and you'll find a lot of love for it all over the internet. As others have mentioned it came with both a Tapco plastic mag and a yugo service metal mag. Both functioned flawlessly. I also bought some of Tapco's 10 and 20 round mags which work just as well. The one knock against the N PAP is that the barrel isn't chrome lined. That doesn't bother me much at all as I generally never shoot corrosive ammo, but something to think about if you buy corrosive bulk. The barrel is rather heavy duty though and quite thicker than many other variants, I have zero doubts about its reliability or longevity. As a strange variant, there originally weren't a lot of after market parts to customize as shooters please with other AKs, but I think the popularity of these have risen as really well built pieces, and I've actually seen quite a bit of new products come for this rifle.

I love this rifle. I've only owned three AKs. SLR-95, NHM-91 and now this N-PAP and it is my favorite. The fit is tight for an AK. No rattling. The wood is very nice. Finish is blued, can't complain there. I put 100 rounds through it without any issues and I was shooting 2.5 MOA from bench rest fairly consistently. Best AK for the price hands down. Just make sure to clean out the receiver a bit, there will probably be some metal shavings from CIA opening up the mag well.

Some complain about the high cheek weld, but I've always shot with my face forward towards the receiver and it is how I prefer to shoot. Habit from the Army.
