This beautiful rifle handles well and shoots accurately. At the range, I've easily kept 1" groups at 100 yds with Remington Core-lokt 140 grain pills. Larger groups are more my fault than the rifle's. I've taken one deer with this rifle, a large doe, and she dropped in her tracks. Penetration was through and through at 137 yards, with wrecked front shoulders and spine in-between. I may be criticized for my shot placement but the low recoil, quick handling, and accuracy make it easy to put shots where you want them.

Satin finish is very attractive. The wood has some figure, about what you'd expect at this price point. Perhaps a bit better, actually. Metal work shows some machine but the bore is bright and clean. Action was a bit rough to begin with but smoothed out after a few boxes of shells. Single set trigger is crisp and light. Matching scope rings are good and fit right up. I dropped a Leopold 3x9 on top. Almost a shame to add a scope, as the iron sights give the rifle an elegant, old world look to my eye. Sling mounts are NOT of the quick detach kind but function just fine.

I could not understand the first, poor, review regarding bolt installation. Upon receipt, everything went together flawlessly for me. Unfortunately there is not a mechanism here to answer questions regarding users experiences with a particular gun or rifle. So let me summarize my impression - the rest of my rifles have been relegated to "safe queens" when deer season rolls around. I haven't another, nor have I fired or found any other gun that I want to take to the woods or to the range.

This gun, looks great, shoots great, A one holer at 100 yard. The 6.5 Swede doesn't beat you up either. Very high quality.

Gun arrived in a timely manner and was wrapped and packaged nicely. No damage to the box or rifle during shipping(thank you UPS).

The rifle itself was everything I hoped it would be. The metal to wood fitment is nicely done. There is slight figure in to Turkish Walnut and the finish is beautiful. The checkering in very nicely done as well. The bolt was a bit stiff to work but once taken down and cleaned and oiled it worked much smoother. My previous CZ required me sitting in front of the TV and cycling the bolt several hundred times to smooth out. This one will not require that.
At the range I first ran some factory S&B 139gr soft point ammo through it and did the barrel break in of one shot and clean for 5 rounds and then every 5 rounds for an additional 20 rounds. Even during the break in the accuracy was what I have expected with CZ. Once cleaned I had several hand loads worked up with 130gr and 140gr bullets from Sierra, Barnes, and Swift. Accuracy was more than acceptable but could certainly do better(my fault). The set trigger on this rifle is considerably lighter than on my CZ 527 so I was caught off guard several times and the gun fired before I had proper sight picture. The one group I fired without the set trigger measured slightly over an inch for 5 shots. I know it is capable of sub inch groups but it will take the nut behind the trigger (me) doing my part.

Overall I couldn't be happier with this rifle. It's the second CZ I own and will certainly not be my last.

I really enjoy shooting the 6.55 Swede caliber. Very accurate and soft shooting on my 61 year old shoulder. The CZ Full Stock is one beautiful rifle! I am still in the process of breaking in the barrel and it is showing some real promise on being a tack driver. The wood has some nice figure and the fit and finish is top shelf.
I even received a set of CZ one inch rings which I was not expecting. I want to mount a 30mm scope tube so I called CZ and they will swap my set of 1" rings for a set of 30mm. Great experience, fast shipping by Bud's and Great service from CZ. Life is Good!

I am so furious I can't even breathe!!! The bolt on this rifle is a two piece assembly, and somehow the rear of the bolt got misaligned from it's proper orientation in shipping. I didn't not notice this, and when I inserted the bolt for the first time into the rifle, the very sharp corner of the rear bolt assembly GOUGED..not scratched...GOUGED the stock as I went to put the bolt home. Could NOT get the bolt in. Showed it to my gunsmith who could not immediately determine why the bolt wouldn't take and he too had the sharp corner of the rear bolt assembly hit wood as he attempted to maneuver the bolt! After playing with it for a while and cursing under his breath several times, he determined that the bolt itself was misaligned and with able to twist into it's proper alignment. The sharp corner that hit up against wood when this idiotic bolt gets misaligned is engineering incompetence. I will NEVER but another CZ product again, and will deter anyone I can from buying one. I am completely INCENSED that my $800 rifle has a thumbnail size gouge in after having it for 10 minutes. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
