Neat little shotgun,it shot well for what it is.

Nice simple shotgun. Action is a bit stiff (hammer, trigger and trigger guard) and machining on all the steel hardware and wood stock is 'sharp' but construction is solid and works well.

Nice little shotgun, fit and finish is fairly nice and shoots well. I would suggest a good lube job as it is fairly still out of the box

Bud's was great, shotgun arrived in great condition shoots very well and folds up nice to be able to put in a backpack.

Been looking for a single shot for a while but wasn't going to pay $400! Just something inexpensive to have handy on the farm for various varmits Pros. Price of a pellet gun. Have a real 3" in Chambered shotgun! Neg. Upon opening the box to inspect the barrel says" Made in Turkey " ??!! Not a reason to return but I was under the impression " Made in USA"...... The break action is a bit weird but it all has a tight fit. Time will tell.

First, I was first impressed by the great pre-delivery communications from Bud's Gun Shop...very good customer service...helpful notices about my order status so I could plan my trip to the FFL dealer who would process my transfer. Second, the Hatfield .410 I ordered arrived well-packed to prevent damage during shipment. Third, while I did not expect this gun to exhibit the same signs of fine craftsmanship one would find on a classic brand known for elite materials and fit of parts with very tight tolerances and a price tag that reflects these features, this little .410 is clearly well made. The finish on both its wood furniture and metal parts is smooth and of great color. Fourth, I took it to the range to pattern the shot spread from #4 ammo I was planning to use for squirrel hunting, and was impressed that the fixed modified choke threw a very decent pattern, one I could depend upon to take small game afield. Fifth, being a single shot, break open, fixed choke gun, there is virtually nothing that could go wrong, and the moving parts are all tight and smooth in action. Sixth, while I plan to store it in my gun safe parked vertically upright and will transport it to the field in a long gun zippered case, if I needed to save space for storage or transport, it folds in half, with the trigger guard nesting into a recess in the forearm. So far, I am very happy with my purchase and can recommend this firearm to anyone looking for a great value. I am now considering other Hatfield shotguns for future purchase.

Decent gun for the money with a few simple upgrades. The trigger guard is the break lever to open the gun and mines a bit sticky and it's fairly stiff when breaking open but I think those will loosen up after break in. Fit and finish are ok. My forend and buttstock are different tones of color which isn't a huge deal as I'm going to refinish it anyways. The end of the barrel looks like they just chopped it off there as it's not crowned or blued but it's not a deal breaker for me either. Has an ok but not great front sight picture so I put a Truglo magnum gobble-dot extreme on it...Fiber-optic 3 dot sights model #TG942XA(this has a 1/4" vent rib on it)
