This Springfield Loaded Model has been awesome. I've had it for seven months now, and put a few thousand rounds through it, finding it boringly reliable. It shoots like a laser, and contrary to popular opinion the factory magazines are fine. The only thing I've felt the need to do was swap out the full length guide rod for a G.I. set up, and well, shoot the heck out of it.

If you see one in stock, buy it. You will not be sorry.

This was my first purchase from Buds. Awesome service, quick shipping and great prices. Now that I got that out of the way, we're off to the gun show. The fit and finish of this 1911 leaves little to be desired. It's not a high end 1911 but if you're reading these reviews then you probably already know that. The gun is well crafted despite its MIM parts and you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal with what the "loaded" has to offer in terms of the extras. The night sights are bright and aim where the bullets go. The grips are comfortable but could stand to be changed out for those of us who plan to run the gun ragged and might like to maintain the original look for our grandkids. The stock mags are not desirable but I have yet to have a malfunction with them (~200 rounds through the two mags alone). I have a total of just under 500 rounds through the gun so far, and as of yet, have had no failure to feeds/extract. Definitely be sure to clean, lube and grease your gun before going to the range for the first time. It made a huge improvement on the feel of the slide and I can only guess, on the performance of the pistol right out of the box. On a last note, don't hold your breath for a NM serial number but don't sweat the Imbel stamp either. I thought it would be a big deal to me but after shooting this gun it could say MADE IN FRANCE and I'd still be happy. Well, maybe not France... Shoot straight, be safe and enjoy!!

After being in the market for a 1911 for some time I settled on the S.A. 1911 Loaded and for the price its dollar for dollar the best bargain I could ask for. These typically sell for at least 800 and with a 3-9 month wait as well. I was lucky enough to get an NM serial numbered one and I could not be happier. If you see one of these grab it while you can they are in short supply. Buds as usual was the best and I will continue to happily drive over an hour to shop here. Thanks Tony from Velocity for the deer poop too...

First purchase of a firearm on-line couldnt have been easier!! The gun was delivered to FFL in 4 days. My first 1911 and I'm already hooked, I'm can't waite until they finally get Ruger 1911's in stock. A+++++ on Buds.
