TL;DR It's an extra mag in your kit. Basic yet necessary.
The Remington 783 was the first gun I've ever owned. As such, I cannot emphasize enough the necessity of having extra mags. Whether you're on the range or in the woods, its best to come prepared. The only complaint I have is that sometimes the bolt will pass over the magazine without picking up a round (Happens about 2% of the time). It's likely a design flaw with the rifle rather than the magazine.

Functioned flawless. Just make sure cartridges are inserted evenly and pushed to rear of magazine.

3 things. 1. Bud's got it here quick less expensive than from other places - my local pawn shop could give me the same price. 2. The magazines were just what was ordered. They are easy to load, fit in my weapon and allow for easy chambering. 3. If you don't know, you have to make sure whether you need a long action mag - 7 3/8"- or short action mag - 6 1/2" - (how far the bolt moves to load/eject the shell). That is the only downfall, the description; more than likely it is Remington's fault rather than Bud's for not including it. Of course, I will keep ordering from Bud's.

This is an exact replacement for the magazine that came with my rifle from the factory. It fits tight in my rifle and feeds rounds as it should.
