I bought this rifle through Bud's layaway program. Sale and delivery were as smooth as I've come to expect from Bud's great service! The rifle came with two 20 round mags which was a nice surprise. I took it to the range yesterday for the first time. I had mounted an inexpensive Simmons 4X shotgun scope using the great supplied Ruger rings. After getting it zeroed in I have no problem keeping 10 rounds in 1.5" group at 50 yards using 62gr. military ball ammo. I'm sure it would do much better with quality ammo, but this more than works for me. I couldn't be happier with this rifle and I'm even considering trading in my much pricier AR for a second Mini-14. Great job Bud's and Ruger!!

This is my second Mini 14 and I love'em. I have sold all my AR15 and I went for classic traditional design. Works very well with all kind of ammos so far. I just put Springfield AA9126 M1A SCOUT SQUAD 308 SYN BL on a layaway reserve. Can't wait till get hands on the orginal M1a. can't complain about buds service. Will do business again!

I ordered the Mini14 on Monday and received it at the dealer on Thursday. Do to a medical problem I have not fired or tested the new rifle, but I am very impressed with Bud's service and will definitely use them again. I will update the site once I have been able to fire and run a few hundred rounds through it. That is why I am only rating it with 4 stars.

I love this mini 14. Great piece. A tad bit heavy but made to last. I did get the ati stock for it also. I have run 160 rounds of nato 5.56 through it with no flaws. Buds does good.

Ordered 2 of the tactical both came in record tiem even for Buds. One appeared perfect and one had a chip out of the hand guard but it was small and I can live with it. Both function 100% every time shooting Nato ammo. Both seem to be accurate enough (2" to 3") at 80yds iron sights. Only complaint is that both throw the spent cases up to 30" away from the shooter making cases hard to find.
Not a perfect gun as you can see cost cutting corners all over the rifle but it is a great deal for the price. I've owned both the AR 15 and the Newer Ruger Mini 14 and I like the Mini 14 best because it feels like a traditional rifle and it's easier to operate the slide. I'm pretty sure you won't be dissapointed if you purchase one so long as you aren't looking for a target rifle. Fun to shoot and you should be able to hit dinner plate targets every time at 200 yds. with open sights. Buy plenty of ammo as this rifle makes your trigger finger flex rapidly and often.

I just noticed that Buds is storing IP addresses if you write a review, so I will have to give them very bad marks for getting on board with that program. I'm a very peaceful person never in trouble with the law and I resent all the survalence as if I were a bad guy. I've always liked to shoot but now that is not a politically correct recreational acitvity it seems.
