The firearm was shipped to me fairly fast - took nearly 2 months to pick it up from the FFL since I live in the communist country of NJ (took that long for the local PD to issue the voucher permit required to purchase any handgun).
Took the gun to the range - the revolver felt comfortable (replaced the original grips with hogue grips) in my hand and it had some wait to it which is a good thing when u shoot 357mags.
Put 20rds or 38SP and then 10rds of 357mag -- after which the cylinder started locking and wouldn't rotate fully on its own.
I called ruger -- I have to say, their custommer service is just "EXCELLENT".
Explained the pblm - they sent me trough email a shipping tag with FEdEX for overnight shipping. Sent in my firearm and got it back 10 days later (They had to replace the wahl and the ejector).
The firearm has functioned flawlessly since then.

As far as the firearm -- it has a bite more bite than I would have expected from a 27oz revolver -- shoots 38s fairly accurate -- the 357mags are brutal.

Overall I''m very pleased with this revolver - would highly recommend.

This revolver is AWESOME! I have owned an LCR357 and a S&W 642, and this gun is so much more enjoyable to shoot. 38 spl, +P, and 357 mag are all very controllable with this revolver. I would feel comfortable to carry with 357 mag. I've also carried it IWB and it's just as easy to conceal as the before mentioned guns. With the stock grips, it feel nice in the hand. It is extremely accurate. I LOVE IT! Thanks Buds.

Great service from Bud's. I picked up the revolver today. I quickly swabbed it out and put 50 125 gr standard .38 spc handloads through it and 40 160 gr .357 mag heavy hunting handloads through it. The .38's shot a tighter group and were more manageable of course but the heavy .357's shot near as well and were snappy to say the least but not unmanageable for me. I am so far very happy with this little Ruger, and I think it will make a great CCW and home defense weapon. Shooting was done at about 15 yards. With the 3" barrel a tight group on a man sized target is no problem with either ammo in this little revolver at this more than adequate self defense range. It seems to be built as well as my full sized 6" .357 mag GP100 but is small and light enough to conceal carry with a little effort. Ruger seems to fall kind of in the middle on price and so far I find the quality and durability hard to beat.

This is a heavy duty and somewhat compact .357. Many gun experts consider the .357 the most powerful manageable handgun. The fixed sights and short barrel require a lot of practice to master this revolver. I removed the hard plastic grip inserts and fabricated red oak inserts from a piece of firewood laying on my wood stack. Looks much better now. I tried shooting 180gr Double Tap hard cast ammo without any recoil problems. I would not hesitate to use any .357 handgun ammo in this gun.

Very good gun for the price, which was unbeatable by any dealers in my area. Only bad part was that I ordered it during the holiday season, and so I had to wait a few days longer to receive the gun. Still had it in my hands in seven business days exact.

Had a hard time deciding between the 2" and the 3", but very glad I went with the 3". It feels very balanced in my large hands and recoil is minimal with .38 special ammo. I haven't ran .357 in it yet, so I can't speak to that, but hope to soon. I have put 50 rounds through it and it seems to be accurate enough. I am a novice shooter, so I can't say for sure if it's the gun or my ability.

Definitely recommend this gun for a person looking for a quality DA revolver. It's built well, fun to shoot, and I think it will make a pretty good CCW when I receive my permit. Overall very pleased with the gun and smooth transaction. Thanks Bud's! Will definitely be buying again...soon.
