My second gun purchase from Bud's. And, my first auction buy. Wasn't sure if the auction process would be as easy as a regular purchase or not, but Bud's made everything as easy as it could be. These guys really thought ahead when they put this web site together. Because the gun is really popular right now (can't find them at all on the Ruger site) I paid a lot more than the "normal" price, but still got it for less than my absolute limit, so I'm only slightly annoyed. The only thing about the gun that was a bit of a disappointment is the receiver. I assumed it was stainless, based on all the descriptions I had read -- never got my hands on one before my order, because nobody had one. The barrel is stainless, but the receiver is aluminum. While I appreciate the dull finish of the aluminum when I'm using the hard sights, my intent was always to mount a scope and putting screws into aluminum doesn't always yield great results. So, I'll be using Loctite and a very careful hand when I do that. Haven't shot it yet, but it goes together and comes apart as easy as pie and with the adjustment ring you can ensure it's a snug fit without being so tight you can't engage or disengage it. Have 200 rounds ready for the range on Tuesday. Can't wait. Thanks, Bud's!

This is a great rifle. It is just as accurate and reliable as any of the standard 10/22 models. I used Buds layaway program and it was a smooth, Problem free experience as usual. After making the final payment the rifle was in the hands of my FFL in a couple of days. I have made all of my firearms purchases from Buds for a few years now with only positive results and will continue to do so.

The firearm is a Ruger--so it is automatically a good one. You guys and gals at Bud's, on the other hand, are a cut above the rest. I did not expect to see this rifle for a couple of weeks, best case. I clicked purchase on Tuesday, the week before Christmas, and it was at my dealer on FRIDAY, of the same week! Absolutely top-notch service.
