I have two other Ruger revolvers so I like the similarity and my familiarity with the LCRx as a personal protection concealed carry piece. It fits my hand great and feels like a much larger revolver when held, even though it is so small and light. I chose a revolver as a personal carry piece because there is no fear of a jam in a pistol, and it is ready to shoot as-is fully loaded with a shell in the chamber. The Ruger transfer bar (only allows the hammer to hit the firing pin if the trigger is pulled fully back) is a Ruger safety feature that I feel is critical for a loaded concealed carry revolver. I was surprised that my gun came with a white front sight that makes acquiring a target easier than the black front sight I was expecting, a very nice upgrade by Ruger.
The bottom line is I am very happy with Bud's and Ruger.
Very light 13.5oz unloaded
Very comfortable grip and
Trigger pull is clean consistent
And very very nice!
This is a well made weapon
And extremely easy to shoot
Great dependable headboard
Or carry gun
Another winner from Ruger.
Bud’s as always is unbeatable
On price/selection and service
I purchased on Sunday and it was in hand (FFL) on Friday!
Thank you Buds...Again!!

A:YU - Benefits of hammered version are that one can easily use a thumb to pull back the hammer to fire single action. Can't do that with a hammerless action. For carry purposes, in a defensive situation, one is very very unlikely to take the time to pull back the hammer. In a situation where every second matters, the first objective is to make the shot and make it count. Therefore defensive situation would be, 99% of the time, double action - and that is how one should practice with this revolver. Shoot it in double action at the range so you are accustomed to the trigger pull, the motions of shooting, and develop the habit of just shooting it double action without having to fumble around looking for a hammer to pull back. I carried a small revolver for years and preferred the hammerless version, to avoid any possible hang up of the hammer on clothing or other gear. Trigger pull single action is 6 lb for the LCR.See 1 more answer | -

A:Nothing about the pistol itself William. There are many more of the "Hammerless" Model in stock which has the price much lower than the lower stock "Hammer" Model. Always buy at peak stock level to save $ on firearms at Buds.
