Overall the 77/22 was a good rifle, a stalwart action that handled nicely. If I had to pick its faults I would say the trigger out of the box was not the best, and the would and metal fit and finish was not as nice as other rifle options in the price range. The stock was a nice basic straight grained piece of walnut and the checkering appeared to be mechanically cut and again not as well executed as other options in the same bracket. Mine had decent accuracy but again not as good as some competing rifles I've shot or owned. However after I did a trigger job on mine as well as shimming the bolt, rechambering, recrowning and pillar bedding, it was on par with my Anschutz and better CZ rifles. The magazine system is very nice, reliable unobtrusive and easy to operate. The bolt was a bit sloppy and gritty out of the box as a result of the cast production method but those issues were rectified by the bolt tightening and polishing the raceways. If your looking for a classy 10 shot bolt repeater under 1K the 77/22 is a very good if not the best bet.

This is a great gun. very accurate. Little on the heavy side for squirrel hunting. Trigger is too heavy but with some work can be lightened up. Bolt is tight to the scope when jacking in a round. Other than that love the gun.

Very good rifle. Easy to clean. The vammit population is going down fast. Real nice squirrel rifle. Fun to shoot. A little pricey, but a good quality rifle. Just be sure to put a good quality scope on this rifle.
