Excellent Rifle and Excellent people at Buds Gun Shop. I have more Savage Rifles than any other rifle out there I live by them and this rifle was no different
1 inch groups at a hundred yards with remington core lokt 100 grain bullets but I have to say that i did spend a little more money on a good scope but for me thats any
rifle I scope. This rifle has a great smooth action the bolt does have a high lift to it but high scope mounts will take care of that. Nice padded recoil pad a good gripping rifle feels good in my hands. It does have the 22 inch barrel some people think that you need at least a 24 inch barrel with the 25-06 for best results. I have a H& R single shot in 25-06 with a 26 inch barrel and shooting through a chronograph I was only losing 65fps with the 22 inch barrel @ 100 yds while sighting in this rifle.
Very happy overall with this rifle it will definitely be one to pass down to my son when he starts hunting!
