Axis rifles save money without sacrificing performance. Savage didn't design a cheaper rifle; they designed a better way to make a Savage, including pillar-bedded barrels with more uniform cooling and greater consistency. These Axis rifles feature a modern design with silky-smooth bolt operation and a detachable box magazine. Drilled and tapped for scope mounts, these XP models come with a 3-9x40 matte blued scope, already mounted and bore-sighted, so it is ready to go on the hunt when you are. They also have a black synthetic stock coupled with a 22" matte black carbon steel barrel to allow for multi-purpose shooting in multiple locales.

Although not fired yet this rifle is very much worth every bit of the cost. Very reasonable for a rifle of this caliber. I want to thank buds for their delivery in a time when they are just SWAMPED with orders. I still think they are excellent to deal with! Also, I want to put a plug in for Stephanie, she was there for me with all my questions and did a GREAT JOB! Thanks Buds!

Bought these for my twin boys. I didnt want to buy .22's or a larger caliber. these are perfect for beginners and seasoned shooters alike. some people complain that the scope and rings are cheap but for us they work just fine. great deal and great business with buds. thanks again.

Once sighted in the rifle is very very accurate. Its not uncommon for me to shoot groups 2" groups. I have about 150 rounds through it with no failures of any kind. The scope is that bad either. Its not a high dollar optic buts its good enough to shoot out to 250-300 yards. Trigger pull is long but if you do some searching you can find out how to fix that cheap. Capacity is listed as 3 1 but I can fit 5 in the magazine with no issues. If youre on the edge about buying this gun dont worry, you wont regret it.

Gun and service were perfect. After about 40 rounds I had 4" groupings at 150yrds on day 1. No feeding issues or anything. Thanks Buds.
