Taurus PT58HCSS 380 PLUS 19RD FS SS - Stainless/Silver, 19+1 Rounds, Polymer Grips, 3-Dot Sights

After I received the PT58 I was so impressed with the fit and beautiful polished finish that I was surprised to note that it was not in the current Taurus catalog. It is one beautiful pistol, loaded with great features. Great ammo capacity, nice de-cock and safety features and cycled rounds without a hitch. Very mild recoil for a direct blowback design. The only downside I found when firing it was that it consistently spit some of the combustion process back in my face... not a lot, but it's not a pistol you'd want to let someone shoot without protective eyewear. It's a pretty fair sized flaw in what is otherwise a very nice gun.

The gun is not in very good condition even though it a NEW gun. Looks like a return to Taurus and they just turned it around. Many scratches and 1 problem, the slide stop keeps coming out of its position thus the slide does not stay open after the last shot. Will be sending this in for service after only 50 rounds. Very disappointing. I have a PT 99 and it is perfect!! Not this one. Can't blame Buds, they cant inspect every gun. Their service is still 2nd to none.

This is a beautiful gun and well worth the money. I have run about 200 rounds through it without one hitch of any kind, and that was with the cheapest Tal ammo I could buy. It is dead on accurate right out of the box and "double taps" are a breeze because of the light recoil. Taurus says the gun holds 19 rounds but mine holds 21 in the clip and one in the chamber for a total of 22 rounds. This gun actually gives you more than you expect. The fit and finish is fine. It has a great trigger pull and it breaks down for cleaning as easily as my Glocks. The gun is small, weighs only 18 ounces so it easily fits in you pocket. It would be hard to find another pistol with more firepower in this small package. I really love this gun and would recommend it to anyone, now if it only had a rail.
