Purchased the 709 slim b/c I wanted a single stack 9MM. Added a Pierce mag extender so my hand would fit better. Took it to the range and popped a couple hundred rounds, four reloads of cast and jacketed, and four types of JHP defense loads, 115, 124, and 147 grain. Performed flawlessly. The grip design is quite good. I had no problems controlling it and the point of impact for all loads was the same. Even when rapid firing a clip, groups were good, especially considering the speed of firing and the 19 ounce weight. Used the new Remora IWB clipless holster. The sticky holster surface prevents any holster sllppage even while wearing loose fitting pants. Because the holster is purposely collapsible for concealment reasons, reholstering the weapon requires some getting used to.
This is a fine concealment combo I would recommend to all. It replaces a double stack CZ compact 9 that I am quite fond of. And service from Bud's was outstanding.

Product was shipped rapidly and was a great deal. Wrapped in plastic within case. Has been great fun to shoot out at the range. Have since added a Crimson Trace laser to it which really enhances product.

I picked up the Taurus PT709 slim Stainless on my 21st birthday. Great experience with Bud's and my FFL dealer. Once I got it home and began to clean it and take it apart, I did realize that the firearm was impossible to field strip. I took the handgun to a local gun shop and we tried for about 45 minutes to strip the gun going by the instructions in the manual. We only figured it out when another owner of a 709 came in and told us that they had left steps out of the manual and he had the same problems and called Taurus and they told him what was missing. Other than that, I have taken the gun out and shot a few rounds through it and I love it. NO FTF or anything of that matter. It was a little difficult to get the sites adjusted but once you do it, you are ready to go. Overall I would recommend this gun for someone looking for a nice slim CCW.
