Highly accurate and distinctly refined, the 84FS offers a host of features found on Beretta's larger combat pistols. The ambidextrous, frame-mounted safety is easily manipulated by right and left-handed shooters. The combat trigger guard can be pressed against any hard surface for support during emergency, single-handed firing. The open slide design ensures positive extraction and ejection of spent cases in the most unforgiving conditions. The magazine release can be easily swapped for right or left-handed shooters. The grip tang is small enough not to hinder concealment, but designed to eliminate the possibility of the web of the hand being struck by the slide.

  • Weight: 23.3oz
  • # of Mags: 2

A well built beautiful gun. It's just on the pricey end

This is a truly beautiful gun which looks even better in person. I've fired hundreds of rounds through it and never had a single malfunction. One gets the sense that this particular pistol series has a high level of quality control and "hand crafted" appeal, especially compared to its big brother, the Beretta 92. The fit and finish on the Cheetah is incredible, and the combination of nickel finish and walnut grips is awe-inspiring. This is a unique pistol in the sense that, for a .380 it is likely one of the biggest pistols ever produced on the market in that caliber; an all steel framed gun which belongs in a different class from its polymer counterparts like the LCP and other tiny .380 pistols that have given the round a bad name. To put it in perspective, it is slightly larger than the M&P Shield and Glock 43. Of course it looks better than both combined. This COULD be used quite effectively as a EDC weapon although there are certainly lighter, smaller, and more modern options (although the 13+1 capacity with the non-California mag is hard to beat). The truth is that the type of person looking to purchase the Cheetah is more than likely a firearms enthusiast looking to add a handsome, investment-grade pistol to their collection, in that sense it excels perfectly.

This is probably the most beautiful gun I own. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but worth it to own such a quality and good looking firearm. Small enough to conceal carry and can still fit 13 round flush magazines, if the state you live in allows, so plenty of capacity for home defense with good, quality .380 ammo. For me it’s a safe queen and an occasional range toy. A gun I fell in love with and had to have. All that said, it does have some drawbacks. The slide is surprisingly stiff to chamber a round. Also, there isn’t a lot of real estate to grab the slide where the serrations are. My palm and fingers rub across the frame mounted safety every time I chamber a round. Even when using the “slingshot” method, my thumbs rub past the safety. Given that you need a pretty strong grip on the slide serrations die to the stiffness, dragging my hand past the safety is less than ideal. Also the trigger is a bit on the heavy side, but surprisingly this doesn’t seem to affect accuracy. I do shoot a lot of revolvers, so perhaps I’m just used to heavy triggers, but this is a very accurate gun.
Great gun!

I am overly pleased with the Beretta Cheetah even though I had a hard time with the slide. The slide was difficult to handled however it is getting easier. It does require consistency in breaking the slide in. The good news with the Cheetah it's extremely accurate and it is fun to shoot. It is a beautiful gun that will give you pride. So do not give up on the gun as it will develop to your satisfaction.

The first time I laid eyes on this gun, I fell in love. I knew I had to have it. Sure its expensive but come on, its a Beretta. Its nickel plated and wood grips make it even more beautiful to look at. And after watching a few videos online and practicing, disassembling and reassembling it is very easy. The slide was a little stiff when I got it, however if you keep playing with it (Unloaded obviously) it starts to loosen up. Just the factory new crisp I suppose. And I was also NOT expecting two magazines to come with the box. I was very satisfied with that surprise. The safety lock for the gun is also very cool and strong, easy to transport it without any trouble, and it even came with a cleaning rod! It fires wonderfully, and feels great in my hands. And what can you say about Beretta? Its reliable, no malfunctions or any trouble so far. Again, my only complaint would be the price, but if you love to collect and have the money i'd definitely pick one of these pretty kitties up. Not sure if its true but there are many rumors about Beretta discontinuing the Cheetah series. So i'd definitely get one! And Buds, you guys are awesome and deliver fast. Thank you!

There are only two negative things I can say about the Beretta 84FS, and they are the most common among reviews for it. It is expensive - a Beretta 92FS is much cheaper and better firepower. But perhaps it's the novelty of it that draws us to it, in spite of the cost. The other is the slide is pretty stiff - takes a bit of effort to rack it. But those things out of the way, this is a fine handgun, a great fit in average hands and beautiful to look at. This is the one they sell to states that don't like guns - 10 round magazines. But you can purchase 13 round magazines that work just fine. It's interesting to note that Beretta went to a lot of effort to ensure the 10 round mags stay 10 round - there's a channel built into the magazine that narrows the interior capacity. You can't change it, just buy 13 round magazines. The double-stack design makes for a large grip, which adds to the comfort of holding and shooting. I fired Browning and PMC with no problems, though with the flat-faced Browning ammo, I did have to tap the slide after racking to push it forward. The sights on mine are odd - the advertisement says "three-dot," but mine has a speck of red paint on the rear sight and a half-blob of red on the front sight. That isn't a problem since like most guns all you're really trying to do is quickly line up the sight, it's just odd. The gun is accurate out of the box. Hitting soup cans at 25 yards almost effortlessly. One-handed shooting at 7 yards also made for accurate shooting. The gun has a magazine disconnect, a caution for those who don't like such things. The safety/decocker is ambidextrous, and the magazine release is reversible. The bottom line is, I think, that if you just want a cool gun, and money isn't a big factor, and you have good hand strength, this is a good firearm to own. It's got a "cool" factor as well as being well made and reliable and accurate. Sometimes we don't need a good reason to buy a firearm - if we like it, that's good enough. There's cheaper - oh, there's cheaper! But better? Not so much.
