This is my first written review. I have possessed dozens of 1911's over the past 40 + years. Original G.I's, National Match, Series 70's, 80's ,Officers, Defenders,Commanders, just to name a few of them. I am also a (former) 1911 G'smith, and have worked on, built, and repaired hundreds of them. This particular Colt 1991a1 (Talo edition) has the best overall fit, finish, (beautiful O.D. green cerekote slide), and function of any(straight out of the box) that I have ever owned. Broke it down and inspected ever part. I always polish and smooth out all of the moving parts i.e., ramp, sear, hammer hooks,barrel etc....No need for any of that on this one. Excellent value in a Colt 191...This is a TALO edition although the add doesn't say that. 1 of 400 made. The OD Green and blued combination is definitely not your everyday finish on a typical 1911. the grips are too the most comfortable OE grips out of the box. Overall a great bargain, great collectible, great shooter. For the money you just can't beat a Colt. As always i received the service in ordering and shipping from Bud's that cant be matched...oh did i mention Price too...Thanks again Bud's!!
