This Ruger American Rimfire rifle includes four interchangeable stock modules that provide comb height options for scope or iron sight use. The lightweight black composite stock has sling swivel studs and is designed for quick and easy handling with a standard 13.75" or compact 12.5" length of pull. The Marksman adjustable trigger offers a user adjustable pull weight, between 3 and 5 pounds. The free-floated hammer-forged barrel has a target-crown, ultra-precise rifling to provide exceptional accuracy, longevity and easy cleaning and a satin blued finish. It has a 10/22 style extended magazine release for smooth magazine removal. It includes a fiber optic front sight, 10/22 style adjustable V slot, folding leaf rear sight, and a 3/8" rimfire scope base is machined into the receiver, which is also drilled and tapped for Weaver #12 bases (not included).

I bought this gun last spring and put a Burris Droptine 2-7 Rimfire also from Buds on it. after a couple of bricls of ammo the groups started to tighten up. With bulk ammo it shoots 1-1.25 in groups at 50 yds. With good target ammo it will shoot between .5 and .65 in groups with no flyers. I am talking 5 shot groups on a still day with no wind. Very satisfied with the Ruger and Buds. So nuch so that i bought another just like it.

Bud's performance was flawless as always and the rifle made in the USA shot very well even with the iron sights that came as standard equipment.

I NEVER THOUGHT I COULD OWN A 22 LIKE THIS. HIGH RUGER QUALITY REASONABLE PRICE....ALWAYS GOOD SERVICE WITH BUDS

Just received this today and haven't shot it yet. I'm posting a review to tell people: the actual barrel length on this model is 18", not the 22" listed. 18" makes a lot more sense for this type of use anyway, so I was actually happy, though surprised, to see it. Otherwise it appears to be a high quality rifle for the price, and the combo package is a great deal. The fiber optic site makes the rather primitive rear sight usable; the same rear sight is not very useful when paired with a brass bead front on the standard 10/22.
