This has been the most enjoyable range tool for my family! Everyone from my high school aged children to their friends and significant others- everyone loves to shoot this pistol! Easy to keep clean / maintain- it is very simple to disassemble and reassemble after cleaning. While 22 ammunition tends to be dirty, I clean this weapon about every 2 or three trips to the range (~250-300 rounds of use). It has a very low rate of failure-to-feed, given that cleaning schedule. It is great first tool to teach basics of gun safety and mechanics of employment. Quickly lets people get comfortable with a weapon before handling larger firearms.

This handgun is really fun to shoot. I like it a lot.
Only issue for me was the black front ramp sight. After my first time out, I put on the HIVIZ. Sight picture is so much better.
Would definitely recommend the 22/45.

I bought this pistol knowing I’d need a few upgrades. I’m an experienced shooter and I took the barebones pistol to the range and had acceptable group sizes. The trigger is heavy, and a little gritty. The takedown is truly a breeze which is a huge plus, and I was pleased with the thread protector design as it stays tight on the barrel. I eventually threw in a volquartsen accurizing kit (pain to install) and now the trigger is incredible. I shoot this pistol with a vortex venom and it is now one of my favorite guns to shoot. My wife who doesn’t enjoy shooting is now willing to come to the range with me because of how enjoyable this gun is to shoot. Reliability is acceptable for a 22 pistol. I don’t have the issues that some YouTube’s have but being a rimfire pistol you get an occasional failure to eject/feed. In a box of 350 rounds I had maybe 5-6 failures. Only real negative I have is that the screws they used to assemble the pistol are cheaper than cheap and I stripped one. That was annoying but ace hardware store made that a cheap fix. Overall, it’s a good pistol but with a few upgrades you have the potential for an excellent pistol

Positive experience from start to finish. Ordered this firearm Thursday night and it was in my hands Tuesday morning. Only one word for this pistol - sweet. It looks good, feels great in my hands and has rapidly become my favorite target pistol.

Back in the day I owned a Ruger Mark II standard model, unfortunately I sold it and have always regretted that move. So I decided to remedy that and bought this Mark IV Lite. It's a very accurate pistol and a lot of fun to shoot. I have over 600+ of mixed .22-cal through it, only issue I experienced was some rounds that would not fire (these rounds had a good primer-strike, but no-go). It wasn't the pistol it was the current reality of bulk 22 ammo. I like the weight, the take-down is amazing, the color, the hole pattern, the poly-frame (looked at the other colors and hole patterns--meh). This pistol is a good choice--bud's was good, as always.

I wanted a fun steel gun that doesn't cost a hundred bucks every time we go to the range. At 3.5 cents per round, .22 is the way to go. And if you're going to go .22, this is the best pistol available. I put a victory trigger on it to remove the pre-travel and over-travel. I removed the rail and sights and got a Vortex Venom with a Burris Fast-Fire mounting plate. This puts the reflex sight down low on the barrel for a better convergence point. The thing is dead on at 25 years with no recoil. The "can" is processing and I should have it by Thanksgiving. Put 300 rounds through it while zeroing the sight and didn't have a single failure to feed or any other issue with the Federal Auto-Match ammo. What a pleasure to shoot. And Bud's had the absolute lowest price anywhere on the planet. Took 5 days for the EFT to clear, which in the age of instant gratification seemed like eternity! But the gun arrived in a few days with no damage. It was also a snap to clean. Great purchase!!!

Recently purchased the Ruger Mark iv 22/45 lite. Shipping was prompt. The products was exactly what I had ordered. First time purchase with Buds Guns but will definitely return for future purchases.

My wife loves it. We have been shooting it for a few mo the with a variety of ammo and it eats everything just fine.

Several things attracted me to this pistol: suppressor ready/picatinny rail factory installed/Mark IV takedown convenience/45 grip angle. When ordered I suspected the trigger would need some TLC and was correct on that score. Out of the box the trigger was heavy (about 5 lbs) and mushy. A Volquartsen accurizing kit solved that issue in spades with a lighter pull and a very crisp release. While I have not had the opportunity to shoot the pistol the trigger upgrade will surely make it a pleasure to shoot. My old eyes now struggle with open sights so a red dot now sits on the rail. A suppressor is on order. I only hope I'll live long enough to enjoy it. While the older Mark series of pistols often get criticized for takedown and reassembly headaches that was never an issue for me. I was simply intrigued by the fact Ruger went to the trouble to make a great pistol even better. That push button takedown is a stroke of genius.

Nice little 22, I've only put 150 rounds through it but no issues. Much easier than the Mark III to break down for cleaning, all around improvements over the Mark III. Very light and the grip are very nice. Overall I'm very happy with my new Ruger Mark III 22/45 Lite.
