Yes it will it is the same dimensions. I don't believe you'll need an extension. According to Springfield Armory's website; the XD40 and XD40 Mod 2 use the exact same magazine (SKU XD1940). This is for the .40 S&W but, I'm sure it's the same for the 9mm models as well.

From my experience buds always ships fast once they receive payment. The important issue is to make sure the invoice is dated before August 31, 2017. Springfield Armory is accepting the redemption applications until September 30, 2017 at 11:59:59 CST. I cross referenced an order I mailed a personal check to buds for in 2016 with my account "order history" and they did not date the invoice until the payment cleared and the order processed to shipped status. I ordered on 4/30/16 and the check arrived 5/4/16. The firearm shipped on 5/6/16 and that's when the invoice was dated for. I think if you payed with a credit card that is your best option.

I don't believe they can give you that information until you fill out the forms at the FFL.

You will need to call Buds at (859) 368-0371 to explain your circumstance and make prior arrangements or verify that Buds can accommodate. A quick photo (Most serial numbers are on the package) or email is all it would take.

Not trying to undermine William, but I don't think you'll get a number until its at your FFL. I've bought many firearms from Buds, straight out and layaway, I've never once been made aware of or had access to a serial# until the guns arrived. I've heard others try to get them upfront and couldn't. So I'd contact Buds first to be darn sure. Maybe William knows something I don't. But in all honesty I never personally requested a serial # upfront. But to this day, none are available in my order history.

Absolutely love it very easy to conceal its little heavy but that helps with the recoil it’s well balanced and it feel great in my hand and i have large hands I have had trouble finding a pistol that feels good since I bought my first 1911 but when you pick this pistol up it feels like home and buds was great they gave me the tracking number right away and i will definitely be buying more guns threw them they have great prices and fast shipping

Good gun and good deal paid 435 I think their cheaper now it’s a little heavy but it handles the recoil well will buy again

This pistol is awsome. Very comfortable in the hand. Easy to acquire sight picture quickly and this firearm functions flawlessly. I am 170lbs and 5"10" and have no problem using this as my ccw. I would recommend this pistol to anyone and everyone.

The Springfield XD Mod 2 SC .40S&W was exactly the pistol that I was looking for. The size of the pistol works well for concealed carry. There is no safety that you have to remember to click. The safety is located on the back of the handle. Simpily place your hand around the handle, aim, and squeeze the trigger. I also like that there are two magazines included with the XD Mod 2. The shorter magazine is best for concealed carry and the extended magazine works best for a larger grip. I have been very pleased with the performance of the Springfield XD Mod 2 SC .40S&W. I would highly recommend it for your next firearm purchase.

Purchased this item through the 90 day lay away.. paid it off gun shipped same day via 2 day air.. i was surprised how fast e transaction went... picked up firearm took it to the range fired 120 rounds no problem. i looked at reviews of unboxing and some peope theirs came with a speed loader and holster.. THIS ONE DOES NOT... i advise purchasing one. my glock came with one and i love it. although i can load without it it makes it a little easier. All in all this is a great buy nice size good weight. my wife loves it!!!
