The RM380 from Remington. Well the fit and finish was spot on. The trigger pull is long, very long. But the break on the trigger is good when you finally get it there. The double action only trigger is great for second strike capability when and if needed. I would only have one complaint about the firearm. This take down pin will fall out easily and on one occasion after pocket carrying, I fired one shot and the take down pin lodged in the hole in the slide that it comes out of for field stripping. With that being said, I would not recommend the Remington RM380 for personal defense.

This is my second RM380. I like this gun for it's intended purpose: close up self defense. It is NOT a range gun at all, but it is fairly accurate at 15 yards in my experience (I've put 50 rounds through it so far). It functions well. The trigger pull is VERY long, but with no manual safety, that is kind of necessary for a pocket pistol. A shorter trigger pull would work better at the range, but again, in the heat of the moment with adrenalin flowing, I think the long trigger pull may be the best way to go. The price from Bud's is the best I've found anywhere, and with the current rebate, you can not find a lower cost, more dependable quality firearm in my opinion.
