My dad returned from WWII in 1945 with his government issued 1911. When I was grown up I shot that pistol on various occasions. It mysteriously disappeared many years ago. I have two other brothers who are not above suspicion. Any ways, I brought this gun just off the picture and how it was just the plain jane gun that came home with my Dad! I have been Cowboy Action shooting along with Wild Bunch. This gun has worked flawlessly and used only commercial ammo up till now. It has never jammed, Failed to Fire or eject. Now that I do the loading it should do just that and be even more accurate. I looks and feels exactly the same as the Army Issue with exception of the grips. Thanks Taylor's and hats off to Bud's on all accounts. Hawk Eyes Hudson
