ZENITH GIRSAN MC14 380ACP 13RD WHT - 3.43" Barrel, 13 Rounds

Recently purchased a Zenith Girsan MC14 .380 ACP from Buds. Upon opening the box, noticed that the lock that was supposed to be included with the firearm was missing. Took it out to sight it in and after 40 rounds, the slide lock lever would not function when manually trying to lock the slide back. Appears as if the slide lock moves in and out of its slot. when it has moved out, exposing the spring, the slide cannot be locked back. A real uphill battle with Buds to stand behind this product even though they state they do 100%. I have to deal with Zenith on my own. Not what I was expecting. Firearm was able to cycle, Critical Defense, Barnes Hollow Point, Federal Hydra Shock, and ball ammo. Critical defense had a couple of problems feeding the round into the chamber completely and you had to actually force the slide forward to chamber the round. Happened with 7 rounds out of 20. Firearm comes back to target easily. Using a bench rest to sight in and the firearm shoots low aiming at 6:00 on the bull's eye, you have to block out the bull's eye with the front sight to hit just in the bull. Nice light firearm, fun to shoot.

Strikingly similar to the beretta 84 but half the price this well made pistol is a lot of fun to shoot. Ammo is cheap for plinking and practice. Easy breakdown for cleaning. I am going to try and CC this for a while because of its small/slim size and 13 rounds at the ready.

I bought this gun on the recommendation of a friend. First, I ordered it on a Thursday afternoon and it was available for pickup less than 24 hours later - unbelievable when "free shipping" is involved! I put 150 rounds through it today at a range and, despite still considering myself a beginner, had some very nice results. I shot 10 rounds at a time mostly at ~20 feet but sometimes a bit further and often got very good groups. So, as long as I didn't get in the way the gun is accurate. Take down and assembly is a little awkward and will take some practice to feel out. Both are a little easier without the added pressure of the hammer, so I do it cocked.
