I ordered this item in July, I think. Deliver was slow, but that's to be expected nowadays. This fit and finish were find for this price point, and it's made by Uberti. I have had good success with their product in the past. There is, unfortunately, one very bad problem: The cylinder pin is too long. Before it clears the frame, it is blocked by the ejector mechanism; which means, of course, that you can't remove the cylinder. Which means you can't properly clean the gun. Which means it is junk. Its at my gunsmith now.

Excellent, accurate little pistol with nice low recoil. Very easy to get a strong one-handed grip on this for all ages and for anyone that doesn't like large grips. If you hold this up to standard frame size SAAs, you really see a drastic size difference. The only drawback that keeps this from five stars is that you have to remove the entire casing extractor assembly in order to remove the cylinder for cleaning. I don't think a simple field strip should require the removal of screws for anything that has more than a 3.5" barrel. Overall a great buy.

Regarding the Cimarron Lightning SA 38SPL 4.75" revolver: The revolver has a good trigger pull and has good fit and finish. It is light weight and easy to use for my wife and I. It also shot well for Cowboy Action Shooting at metal targets. I have not yet shot it on paper so I can't say how accurate it is. However, it has too tight of a clearance between the cylinder and the rear of the revolver. The first time I shot it the gun tied up tighter than a drum. I could not get the cylinder out to correct the problem, which was a slightly high primer. Luckily a friend of mine has lots of experience with single actions and he wiggled it around for a long time before he finally got the cylinder out and confirmed the high primer was what tied up the gun. We went through the box of cartridges and found several more that were just slightly high, not really sticking out, but not quite fully seated. This gun did not accept them without starting to bind up the cylinder. I tried the same rounds in 2 other revolvers and they worked fine without even a hint that they were going to bind. I fired them without a problem in the other guns. My friend has the same revolver, and loves it, but his does not have the problem with the over-tight gap between the cylinder and back of the revolver.
