From the Remington Law Enforcement Series of rifles comes the Model 700P. This Tactical Rifle houses the same action system that is at the core of the advanced M-24 Sniper Weapon System designed and constructed for the United States Military. The world renowned accuracy of the model 700 has been optimized and taken to the next level with a precision machined ordinance steel receiver that has a full length aircraft aluminum bedding block. Its unique bolt design allows the bolt face, barrel, and receiver to surround and support the cartridge head with three overlapping rings of solid steel for maximum performance. This 700P features a 20" free float heavy barrel that has a 1:11.25 twist and is threaded 5/8x24 TPI. Remington included a precision H-S composite stock that is Kevlar and fiberglass reinforced so it stays dimensionally stable under the worst of adverse conditions. This Rem 700 Police is exactly what I wanted. I cant say how it shoots because I haven't shot it yet, but as far as everything else goes I couldn't be happier. The 40x trigger is fantastic, The badger ordnance rail is top quality, and the finish on the barrel and receiver is excellent. I thought the stock might not look very pleasing but I was wrong, the black webbing on black stock looks great with black accessories. I like the oversized bolt knob much better that the factory Rem 700 bolt knob. My only gripe about this purchase is that the bolt knob went through the bubble wrap that it was packaged in and was banging against the thread protector during shipping. the thread protector is scuffed up and there is scratches in the finish on the bottom side of the bolt knob but since it is on the bottom it doesn't bother me so much. This is my 3rd firearm purchase from Buds and everyone of them have been great. I got what I wanted and the shipping was fast. Thank you guys very much!
