Paul, sorry that happened. My best advice is if something like that happens in the future deny the transfer. When you go to pick the firearm up from your local FFL, don't do any paperwork until you thoroughly inspect the firearm. If it's not what you were expecting deny the transfer and your FFL will ship it back to buds, no cost to you and you will be refunded. Hope this helps.

I'd been looking for this specific gun for quite some time. As always Buds came through and had one in stock for a good price. It was shipped and delivered when they said it would be. This is a very nice rifle and in happy with my purchase. I read the reviews and questions saying the one piece trigger gaurd was plastic. Checked the model # on Winchesters and it says it is alloy. When I received the gun I checked and it's fact made of alloy and not plastic like the reviews and questions state.

I purchased this firearm online using an electronic check. This saved 3%, the additional credit card fee. The firearm was shipped to the local sporting goods store of my choosing. The only delay was the time required for the online check to be deposited into the Bud's account. I had been looking for this specific Winchester Model 70 in 270 Win for quite some time.
