Rock River Arms has developed a rifle with the power of an AK that looks and functions more like the AR. LAR-47 Tactical Comp fires the 7.62x39 round through a gas operated system. The 16 inch barrel is shrouded with a free float carbine length quad rail. The gas block forward of the quad rail houses a folding front sight. The tactical comp has a chromed bolt carrier group, two stage trigger system, over molded pistol grip, carbine collapsible stock, and can fire most AK-47 magazines. Included is one magazine, LPS-1 weapon wipe, Rock River Arms case, manual, and warranty.

A well made good quality firearm however there is no bolt hold open function in the lower receiver also the front side sling loops just flipflopping if not been used, the front site good quality but for the money you pay it should include a flip up rear site also. The only thing I don't like is the firing pin retainer pin is made by a weary strong spring steel, and the legs spring open to much so it is difficult to reinstall after disassembly. The gun function perfect and is a pleasure to shoot it.

A very solid, accurate rifle. Not crazy about the forend. Too many rails. Also would prefer a fixed front sight rather than the flip up sight. Probably time to accessorize. Functioned great with all my AK mags, but the AK drum won't work. Heavy weapon, should last
