American Tactical AT47 Gen 2 AK-47 Semi Auto Rifle 7.62x39 1 - 16.5" Barrel, 30 Rounds

The good -refinished parts look good (front sight and gas block) -Passes headspace gauge tests The bad -The wood from the kits used for the build is pretty beat, dirty to boot -Bolt and Carrier had a not insignificant amount of rust on it, wasn’t cleaned up at all -The gas tube was not refinished at all and does not match the rest of the gun -Kit has 3 different serial #’s, not matching as stated -Trigger guard is secured by screws, not rivets Gun is functionally fine but the fit, finish, and non matching parts leave a lot to be desired.

First, Bud's did a great job with the whole purchasing process (Props to them). Second, now for the review of my "new" AT47. I have not shot this yet so I don't how it will perform. As far as visual inspection, I understand that it's built with an old Yugo M70 kit and did not expect perfection, but it did not have to come as disgustingly DIRTY as it did. For the price I paid, American Tactical could have spent a whole 15 minutes to AT LEAST clean the bore, bolt/carrier group after they test fired the rifle. Does not appear this was done. Furniture as one would expect from an old Yugo specimen, scratches and nicks. Again for the price, could have been nicer. I am not an AK guy so I opted for the milled receiver after advice from forums, friends and colleagues. I can say that the receiver itself is well made, virtually no tooling marks, cracks. Receiver finish is smooth and clean. Pins are tight. Not sure what trigger group they put in their AK's. Seems to be crisp and smooth. Rifle is straight from stock to muzzle. Overall, pretty sure I overpaid for this rifle but in the long run, I have my AK now and can get to work on making it and me happy by running some rounds through it.

The rifle is good and never had a single problem with it very accurate. When it arrived it had a bit of rust in the bolt carrier and the trigger guard is screwed in instead of the riveted but I’ve never had a problem with it.
