This barrel is exactly what I expected from Mossberg. Sturdy, well made. Just know that this particular barrel will not work with what I presume is the "old style" 500 series. This has the "new style" mag tube attachment, a thumb screw that screws into the mag tube NOT the collar that slid over the mag tube then had a screw on cap. Crap, just my luck. No issues from Bud's though, Customer service was professional, but unfortunately can't take it back because I had to cut the plastic inside the box to get it out. Oh well, I'll figure something out, either get a new shotty to put it on or find someone who wants it....track me down, we might make a deal! LoL

Item fits well and operates as expected. Much needed addition to my Mossberg 500 for home defense. Standard security barrels are very hard to come by so I purchased this breacher barrel version which although I’ll probably never use that feature, still accomplishes what I was looking for with this item, a great security barrel with a bit extra. Buds gun shop is a great website and I will order again from very soon, thank you.
