I was really skeptical on purchasing a compact but after taking this to the range, my mind has been changed. Springfield did an excellent job balancing this gun and the sights are awesome. The recoil is great and able to pick up target fast after each shot. Recommend the extended mags for people with larger hands. Even without its still ok but adds comfort and more shots. I'm definitely sticking with Springfield Armory on my pistols.

Buds shipped it so they did their job and it was within a week that I received the gun at my local FFL. I replaced the fairly decent factory sights with TRUGLO TFX sights and every shot is dead on. Love this gun...it is my new home defense gun and I will load it with the 200 grain outdoorsman cast loads from buffalo bore that penetrate up to 30" through flesh and bone while using this XDM as a sidearm in heavily populated black bear country. This gun looks sexy as all get out with those TFX sights plus I am getting a bunch of free crap from Springfield for buying it during their promotional period. Merica...Croatia? The XDM is definately higher quality than my Glocks but I still love my glocks...they are simple. Austria! Merica!? YEE HA!!!!
