I got this from Buds for an outstanding price. It was new, in the box still dripping with oil the way Dan wesson ships their guns. Came with 2 mags. The officer grip and commander slide removes the reliability issues that officer sized guns have. Dan Wesson also already polished the feed ramp to a mirror shine. I have 2 other Dan Wesson 1911-type pistols and they leave nothing to be desired.

Very happy with this purchase. Trigger and slide/frame fit is on par with Wilson/Ed Brown. High quality magazines. The safety and slide release are a bit stiff. Overall 90% as nice as my Kobra for half the price. You can't get this quality at this price point in a 1911 elsewhere. The only negative is that swapping out the grips was a chore because all the grip screw bushings are locktited in and will strip upon removal.

What a great firearm and what a deal! I purchased the 9mm version a little over a year ago and it has become one of my favorite carry and range pistols. I always planned on getting the Valkyrie 45 and at this price and the fact that they are fazing out and discontinueing the Valkyrie model it was time to jump. The Valkyries are superb pistols, fit and finish is outstanding as is weight and balance. Hand fitted with premium parts, smooth actions and better triggers than my Ed Browns these would be a bargin at the full retail of $2012.00. The accuracy is also worth mentioning. I am 68 years old, wear glasses and am not as steady as I used to be. I shoot 1 1/2" - 2" groups off hand with my 9mm out to 25 yards. Today I bounced an Ozarka bottle all over the pasture with the 45. These are fine and just plain fun to shoot pistols. I won't go on except to say if you have been looking at the Valkyries, get one while you can.

If you can't afford a full on custom like Wilson, Nighthawk, Ed Brown or Les Baer this is your best bet. It is just about as good in every way. Super reliable, no MIM parts, super accurate. Buy it without hesitation.
