Great gun! Super accurate and comfortable to shoot. They seem to do best with better ammo like CCI's various offerings. I love these pistols!

It's a Ruger Mark III, what else could I say about Ruger quality? Another efficient and expedient order from BGS. Purchased at an excellent price from a Team Bud's Reserved listing on 90-day Layaway. I appreciate the program, the ACH option takes time to process through but worth the wait for the 3% discount.

Great gun. As everyone will tell you, this thing is a PITA to take down, but you knew that going in. It'll loosen up eventually and I'll get used to the procedure. Nice accuracy. I bought a cheapo reflex sight for it and the kids/family love unloading on clay pigeons at the range. Luckily, 22lr has become a lot more accessible around here over the last year or so. If you don't have the Ultimate Cliploader for this yet, do yourself a favor and get one. Worth every penny, makes reloading a breeze.

This is a great pistol. Very smooth, soft trigger, almost zero recoil. It comes with a rail to put up a scope, red dot, not any interest to me but a good add on to come with it. Two clips a pretty beefy lock for the bolt, safety first. Safety is alot with this little guy, it also comes with a sorta hex key that u can crank down to lock the bolt from moving, not really seen something like that before but this is the first rimfire ive been around. First time I shot it, I put about 150 rounds through it, silky smooth, no jams, no problems. I bought this particular rimfire to teach my sister, girlfriend, and a couple buddies that are scared of the bang bangs. I have fired the Ruger SR22 but didnt care for the heavy trigger pull on the first shot in single action. The ONLY thing that I will 'ding' this pistol is the sights. Front and rear sights are completely black. I will be putting some kind of replacement fiber optic, high vis front sight.

The Ruger on first glance looks pretty good. It has a nice look and seemed to be fit very nice. The bluing was smooth and even. I had a mk 1 bull for 35 years that very nice too. I traded this back to the orginal owner my best friend so I wanted another. The real let down for me was in the trigger pull which seemed to be one of the worst of just about any gun that I have ever fired. I have already purchased a trigger kit from Volquartsen to improve this. The Ruger mk 3 is still an excellent buy for a lifetime purchase of a fine firearm.

I initially loved this pistol. I wanted to get into NRA conventional pistol competition, and this seemed to be the perfect blend of price and a reputation for reliability. Now, as any owner of a Ruger will tell you, these things are a pain to take apart. I knew that going in. What I wasn't prepared for was the shoddy machining. The mainspring pin on my Ruger was so tightly fitted to the weapon that when my attempts to remove the mainspring housing actually stripped the bluing off of the pin! I called Ruger (who have excellent customer service, by the way), and sent the pistol back. I got it back a few weeks later, and all was well for a while. I have now fired approximately 1500 rounds through the pistol. It isn't the most accurate, but it certainly gets the job done in learning you the basics of how to properly grip and exercise trigger control for Bullseye. I'm not looking for a Pardini SP, for heaven's sake. I have maintained it well, and I decided recently to upgrade the grips to the Volquartsen Volthane Grips. That's when things started to really scare me. As I took off the grip screws with an allen wrench, all four of them stripped. ALL of them. I hadn't noticed this before because I had never messed with the grips before. While I was eventually able to dig into the side of the top screws and use that leeverage to remove them, the bottom ones had to be removed by twisting the grips, which I discovered were made of thin, cheap plastic. They never felt that way when I was shooting the gun because they covered the steel frame, but as soon as I tried to remove them it became shockingly apparent how bad they were. I actually snapped the left grip in half to remove the bottom part because the bolt release interfered with my ability to spin the grip screw. After I installed the Volthane grips, problems began occuring, including a difficulty in removing magazines, and, more scarily, the trigger wouldn't "break" correctly, but WOULD fire in spite of the magazine disconnector safety (it was just mushy as heck)! I finally took a look inside the gun with a flashlight and felt a fear that anyone who has installed an accurizing kit has probably felt (I haven't, by the way. But you become pretty intimately acquainted with the inside of the gun when you do that.) Due to the difference in the grips, the sear pin and the sear itself had slipped out of alignment, and were sitting crooked in the frame. I was very lucky that I caught this before actually firing the weapon, as I likely would have destroyed the sear spring and possibly other parts as well. After realigning the sear and sear pin with a dental probe (the sear pin is held in place solely by the grips, by the way), I have placed the gun on the back shelf. I am afraid to use it now and am actively searching for a higher quality .22lr for competition shooting. This is a good beginner gun, if not messed with too much. But Ruger's manufacturing techniques have either gone downhill or I got a real first-class lemon. If you are looking for a good entry-level Bullseye gun, consider picking up a used Browning Buckmark or perhaps one of the older Mark IIs. I don't dispute that the Ruger model delivers a good accuracy for the price, but my Mark III scares me. Caveat emptor. You may just get what you pay for.

This is a beautiful pistol. The first thing I did was replace the ridiculous plastic LCI (loaded chamber indicator) with a Tandemkross LCI steel insert and the magazine disconnect assembly with a stainless hammer bushing. This makes the pistol much more akin to the MK II and it performs beautifully. Both these mods came to $30 and it's not that hard to do. After taking it to the range today and going through about 200 rounds without any issues, I am happy as a Lark! Great gun! And of course Bud's was excellent too.

Great little gun. I've wanted one for years… well, almost 20, but it was never a high priority. Anyway, well built. Came in a nice case with two mags, weaver rail, and trigger lock. Required no sight adjustments. Shooting on a rest I put the first three shots through the 10 ring in a standard NRA slow fire pistol target at 25 feet, so the gun can certainly do its part. Such a fun gun to shoot, not just for the inexpensive ammo, but the focus and concentration required. Totally different style of shooting than what I've been doing for years with various self-defense handguns (Glocks, 1911s, Berettas). I'm very much enjoying this new aspect of shooting and I think it has improved my self defense shooting. Trigger is fine out of the box, but could use some adjustment for length and some creep. I may look into the aftermarket trigger upgrade. I also find I lose the all black sights on a standard NRA target, such that I have to move the sights off the target onto the backing to "reacquire" the sight picture. I picked up a hi-viz front neon sight for 30 bucks. We'll see if that help. Overall, it was just what I expected it to be from a Ruger. This is my second purchase from Bud's and it is hard to beat their pricing, especially compared to the local gun shop, which simply refuses to deal and practically sells guns at MSRP. Their loss, Bud's gain, and my gain. Trouble free transactions and quick shipping are making Bud's my goto "gun store."

It is such a beauty. Hefty but well balanced in hands. It feels lighter than it is actually weighted. Take it to the range and put 200 rounds thru it. It just simply works. Buds got a little bit delayed due to the winter weather. Once the weather was cleared out Buds shipped as fast as always. Will buy more from Buds.
