The P-01 9mm (designated the P-06 in .40 S&W) was designed for LE and Military duty, but its compact size and the reduced weight due to its forged alloy frame made it ideal for discrete carry as well. Equipped with a decocker, the P-01 provides convenience for those who prefer hammer-down carry.

The P-01 was the first CZ model to benefit from updated manufacturing technology at CZ’s Uhersky Brod factory. The components of the P-01/P-06 are completely interchangable with every other P-01/P-06, with no individual fitting required. This required some very careful re-design so that the reliability and accuracy were not impaired. Since the time of its introduction (designed in 2001, NATO-approved in 2003) the production upgrades have been rolled out to most of the CZ 75 family and several new rifle models as well. The 1913 accessory rail easily accepts any of the industry-standard lights and lasers to assist low-light use. After 3 years of some of the most aggressive small arms testing ever, the CZ P-01 won the honor of replacing the CZ 75s previously used by the Czech National Police.

Reliability:  The U.S. Army “Mean Rounds Between Failure” (MRBF) requirement is 495 rounds for 9mm pistols. During testing of the CZ P-01, the average number of stoppages was only 7 per 15,000 rounds fired. This is a .05% failure rate or an MRBF of 2142!

For many years, the P-01 carried an NSN engraved on its frame, making it the first NATO-spec pistol ever available to the public. Recently, the factory decided to upgrade the slide stop spring which in turn means the current models may not carry the NSN.

I received the gun today and ran 100 rounds of winchester range ammo through it. Everything is perfect. All 100 shots were in the 4" groups at 7 yards. Strange to be at the range when I was the envy of everyone there with my new CZ! The gun is almost perfect in every way, ergonomically, recoil is light, trigger is good if a little heavy on DA. My only complaint is the sucky sights which I will upgrade asap. Buds is a great place to deal with! They kept me informed every step through the ordering and shipping process right up to the delivery to my FFL. Thank you for great service. I will definitely recommend you guys and use you again.

Great service and handgun.
I placed the order on a Tuesday morning and it arrived at the FFL Thursday afternoon. Thanks Buds. Best prices that you will likely find........anywhere.
After the initial cleaning, off to the range. The P-01 is a tack driver right out of the box. Very balanced weight. Grips and ergonomics make the P-01 very easy to handle. Trigger was smooth and should continue to break in. The weight and size are perfect for IWB carry. While I prefer true night sights, the factory sites are adequate. For the price and quality, CZ far exceeds other popular 9mms. Worth the time to consider and shoot the P-01 before purchasing other brands.

I've owned this pistol for awhile now, just got back from another session at the range. I've owned and sold a dozen pistols, always wanted a CZ, so I purchased this one. I like this gun, its nothing spectacular, but a nice solid weapon, seems to be very reliable. Nice ergos, accurate, at least I'm very accurate with it. The sights, however, need to be upgraded. The stock sights are weak, very weak. With this upgrade, I'll be giving this gun a 7.5 out of 10 stars. Slightly large for CC, but that's fine, because I already have a couple of single stacks. It is actually pretty slim for a 15 round mag. If you're like me and you've always wanted a CZ, consider this one. I liked the weight of the allow frame, but I like my polymer guns, too. I'm not going to go overboard and call this gun awesome, but I'm glad I bought it and I'll probably hand onto this one for awhile.

Buds shipped the weapon very quickly to local FFL. The case was in good shape from shipping but the gun had old oil on the outside of it almost like a film and sticky. I cleaned the weapon up and it shines like new. The gun will fit your hand perfectly and fits like a glove. It is on the heavier side but carrying is still well within reason. Gun comes stamped with nato numbers. Google cz75 p01 testing or torture test and you will learn the details It went through over 18k rounds dropped multiple. I've put 1k rounds through it and have not cleaned it one time and used reloads brass and steel at different grains, this weapon is a go to gun for any situation. If your considering a cz order it you will love it, this gun is highly dependable and built properly, trigger pull isn't the best it doesn't have the omega trigger but after several rounds it gets better and bette, this gun has the de cocker instead of cocked and locked, being a 1911 person I was a little worried with de kocker but so far I love this gun no failures at all and I run it hard. Buy a cz!!!!! You won't regret it
