I shot 45LC, 454 casull, and .460 mag out of this bad boy and with a barrel length like this the recoil was extremely manageable and yeah the .460 barks..

This high quality revolver is extremely versatile as it can shoot 45 Colt, 454 Casull, and Smith and Wesson 460 magnum. I use mine with 460 magnum. The 10.5 inch barrel provides excellent accuracy. I use mine with a scope, however, the sights are easy to use and give me good groups at 25 yards. The revolver is fairly heavy and difficult to use without a rest. The weight and the muzzle brake diminishes recoil which is substantial when shooting 460 magnum. It is my favorite revolver for target practicing.

This sw460 is a hell of a handgun and very accurate! Buds was very quick about getting it shipped out and arriving in perfect condition!

This is my favorite handgun. I plan on going big game and bear hunting with this gun in the near future. If you're a reloader and like to experiment, you will really like this handgun. You can shoot 45 LC, 454 Casull and the 460 S&W. Combine that with all the different type and weights of bullets and you have a smorgasbord of reloading possibilities. Recoil is very manageable with the 10-1/2" PC XVR, even with the hottest/ heaviest loads.

I love this handgun. I can't stress enough how awesome this pistol looks and feels. The 460 Smith and Wesson magnum is the most versatile hunting handguns on the market with the capabilities of shooting 460 S&W magnum, 454 casull and 45 long colt. The applications are endless. This is a beautiful weapon. If you are looking for the perfect hunting handgun or you just want to have a high Wow factor with your buddies at the range look no further. This handgun surpasses the excellence mark with it's gorgeous finish and the tuned action from the master gunsmith in the Performance Center, you couldn't ask for more. Love the 460 Smith and Wesson. I got the 101/2 inch barrel. Shot it 7 times and hit 7 bullseyes . People came to see what I was shooting after the first few shots. If you want a big bore handgun I would highly recommend the 460 mag.

Recieved My S&W 460XVR 10.5" today! Wow it's a beauty! The gun is in great working order , and I am very happy with the communication from Buds even though it took a while to get the pistol it was well worth the wait. I will be firing it soon at the local range, will let you know how it performs. Hay I showed my local dealer the price I got the pistol for, and they just cannot compete with Buds prices. Even though I like too support my local businesses I am not going to give up hundreds of dollers of my hard ened money. Will continue to use Buds in the future. Thanks! Anthony Cox
