Ruger SR1911 9mm 9+1 4.25 - 4.25" Barrel, 9 Rounds, 3-Dot Sights

This is one of my favorite pistols. It is so fun to shoot. The sights are right on and the capacity is good. I love shooting it, doesn’t cost much due to it being 9mm. If for some reason I would let those one go, I would go back and get another. The big plus with this firearm is that it is so light weight. Excellent for carrying, you can’t tell you even have it on.

No issue with shipping, got it a about a week after ordering, pretty good considering the times, so the usual rock-star service from Bud's. On the pistol-the alloy frame substantially reduces the overall weight and it balances very well. I had planned on replacing the front sight with a fiber optic but the 3-dot is very bright and crisp so I will likely leave it alone, at least for a while. I ran some Hornady 135 grain Critical Duty (which is what my local PD uses), and it was accurate with no malfunctions. I then ran about 120 rounds of practice ammo through it. I had a few failures to lock into battery in the first few magazines, but after that it ran without a hiccup in both slow and rapid fire. The ammo was very light practice ammo so that could have been a factor but after the first few instances it stopped. No magazine issues (came with 2), no sight adjustments needed. The feed ramp is an extension of the barrel, much like the poly pistols use, so it eliminates the worry of hollow points chewing up an integral aluminum frame feed ramp over time. Rides very comfortably IWB, and it's a series-70 type design, so no plunger/lever mechanism and the trigger is crisp. Accuracy was on par with any full-size duty pistol. I consistently managed a 6" group at 25 yds. offhand with aging eyes. Recoil is mild. Outstanding choice for anyone looking for the 9mm version of the 1911.

This was my fourth purchase from Buds, as with rhe others it was a smooth transaction. I received my pistol in two cays and it was as typical for Ruger in a cardboard box, the pistol was wrapped in a plastic bag and was clean with no machine marks or other fitment issues, no rattles, smooth operation also included were typical information and two magazines as well as the typical gun lock. It shoots as well as it looks in over a hundred rounds fired no FTF or FTE pistol is probably more accurate than I am. Great pistol for he price.

This is my favorite firearm in my collection. This feel very nice in hand. This 1911 has the smoothest slider out of my collection. Very accurate with the sights and the trigger is super light.

I was looking at this gun and a Kimber trying to decide which to buy. It was my first 1911 so I am a novice but I So glad I bought the Ruger Super accurate smooth and light weight Still will add Kimber to my collection further down the road but super happy with my Ruger

I was looking for a 9 mm in a 1911 style, since I have the Ruger SR 1911 in 45 acp I figured let me check Ruger's site sure enough there it was the SR 1911 in 9mm. So I went to Bud's to see if they had it in stock and sure enough they did, so in the cart and on layaway with the other 2 guns already in my cart. I have had the gun now for about 10 days. Have put almost 500 rounds through it with out any problems. The gun is well balanced and has very little recoil. I liked the rubber grips buy changed them to a pair of Ivory grips sold by Ruger, the gun with the combination of SS Black and now Ivory grips with a red Ruger logo looks amazing. What a pleasure buying from buds so easy, I especially love the 90 day layaway Buds offers, being retired it allows my to purchase the guns I want over time without worrying about charging up a storm. I have purchased 2 guns so far from Buds and have 2 more on layaway at present. I have yet to find a gun shop that can beat his prices, or carry the inventory he has. I love my Ruger 1911 9mm and cannot wait to payoff my Ruger SR 1911 in 10mm. I highly recommend using Buds I think you will be happy you did...KCK

First twenty to thirty round produced many FTE's. After fifty rounds this firearm operates flawlessly! It just comes out of the box a little tight for 9mm target ammo. I love this little brother to my SR1911 .45ACP

My first 9MM 1911 and what a great shooter this is! Getting older now and I wanted something a bit softer shooting and it is! Great compliment to my 45 SR1911's!
