William, The S&W 40L from the Performance Center was a limited run. Getting into the Production Major division of shooting competition. Lot of competition there. If you want one and see it get it.

Smith & Wesson M&P 40 is a Performance Center ported model with a 4.25"
barrel. The ported barrel and slide reduce muzzle flip for a more accurate
shot  and faster target acquisition. To stop trigger over travel Smith &
Wesson has added an adjustable enhanced trigger. For a more personal fit
the shooter has a choice of three interchangeable, enhanced, and textured
palm swell grips.  This model comes with two 15-round magazines.

Good solid weapon… Shoots better than I do… I have no doubt, if this handgun were in the right hands, you could drive nails with it… I have fired multiple boxes of full metal jacket rounds through it with no trouble.

Tell you what, I've been looking at this gun for months saving the money to get it. I'm a big fan of the S&W Shield Performance family but when I got turned onto the Performance Series, this gun got my attention - it's AMAZING. GREAT LOOKING gun. I will say that at this point I haven't shot it but hope to this weekend. On the Buds side of the house - I was so impressed - they shipped it FAST - 2 days to my FFL! The whole experience was great, the gun is great - I don't care if I shoot it or not, It's just fun to look at and to hold!

Just received my Smith and Wesson 10220 M&P 40 Double, shot it today approximately 80 rounds not one problem. Functioned perfectly, the trigger was crisp and lighter as advertised, very happy with the gun. Also the interchangeable backstraps was a welcomed plus. I would recommend purchasing this gun. Bud's did their great job to get the me the gun to my FFL dealer in a timely manner as usual. Bud's also had one of the better prices for this gun.
