Rick, The magazine release of the Baby Eagle is ambidextrous, Changing sides can be done in less than five minutes. Instructions for switching mag release sides are : Here's how you do it: - depress plunger under trigger bar and rotate 90 degrees - cover opposite side of mag release - pull out plunger, freeing mag release - reverse mag release - drop plunger back into hole - press hole in back of mag release with punch - push down on plunger - withdraw punch - rotate plunger back under trigger bar

34 oz .. just over 2 pounds. Desert Eagles tend to run just a bit heavier than many of the competition, due to the steel frames. A typical commander size (4" barrel) 1911 with allow frame might be 29 oz, but would have a 7 or 8 round mag. 34 oz is very "carryable", depending on your size, and personal preferences. You will know it is there, though.

According to specs, it is about 34 ounces. Other weight will depend on the weight of the bullets you use. The heavier the bullet the more weight, so you do the math.
