Henry Customer Service is second to none. Their 100% no questions asked lifetime satisfaction guarantee is amazing. The 20" octagonal barrels are heavy but they usually shoot very well. The fit and finish of a Henry is usually outstanding. Where I've run into problems occasionally with Henry is scratched rifling inside the muzzle, frame to bottom metal fitment can sometimes be under tension causing problems. Internal milling can be slightly off sometimes. I had one recently that trigger pull was over 8# out of the box but only 5# if the butt-stock was removed. Henry is also making its .357 magnum barrels only .354-.355" groove diameter instead of .357" in its Wisconsin factory which makes it a bit more challenging to find loads that group well in a pistol and rifle both when the bore dimensions are sometimes different by .003" or more. This particular NJ made rifle slugs at .357" tho, so the 9mm sized bores may be specific to the blued Henry's coming out of WI.

Great gun. Octagon barrel makes the gun a bit on the ehavy side, but there's very little recoil. Iron sites are very accurate. Shooting 38 rounds feels like I am shooting a 22.

This is a relatively heavy firearm, which attributes to the accuracy, plus the beauty of the polished brass makes it a real cheaper.

This is one of, if the not the best looking guns I've ever owned, the brass receiver is stunning with a mirror finish. It is a little difficult to keep it looking that way after handling it for a while though, but with the use of some brass polish after a range day this gun will continue to be a work of art in your gun collection for years to come. The only downside I've found with this gun is it does have trouble feeding 38 specials that are on the lighter side from time to time. It doesn't jam completely but you have to work the lever a couple times to get them to feed occasionally. I can't really fault the gun for this though as Henry does recommend using heavier 38 special rounds to keep OAL as close to 357 mag as possible for reliable feeding. So all in all this is a gorgeous gun that will not disappoint you in looks or performance.

Lovely, classy gun. Plenty of room to explore different charges with .357, or to chill out with some light .38 special rounds. An essential lever action for plinking, action shooting and the like. Smooth trigger and action. Everything you can expect from a Henry.
