Hi, Your best bet is to contact Buds customer service to take a look at inventory. Buds usually use old stock picture so they can sometimes not represent the current look of the product. According to Smith&Wesson Website there are two grips included - wood & synthetic. According to S&W factory customer support, one answered that the Synthetic grip was NOT wrap around (backstrap showing) and another rep said definitely the Synthetic grip WAS wrap around. Tough to order one if I do not know. Thanks!

I see the 329PD is. The ca doj website does not not list the M329PD. There is also an A after the part # on the handgun roster. Slightly different. You might want to call buds or local FFL directly to confirm that they could receive it.

Its possible its an A, because it doesn't say B either. A Buds employee may be able to find out and update this listing. If you really want one, I'd call 1-859-368-0371 to find out if its marked A or B.

The "M" doesn't matter, it just stands for model, however the "A" does, it needs that A in the SKU or it is not CA legal. So I'm afraid this one is not.

Its definitely snappy with 44 mag on the wrist. I could only manage 2 full cylinders and that's with a Houge monogrip and I was done. I still love the look and feel of the gun. It would be acceptable for emergency carry in the wilderness. Its so light.

Buds was fast and reliable as usual. I really like this gun. Great fit and finish. The stock trigger is on the heavier side, but very smooth. Just take off the wood grips from Altimont that this model comes with. The fit is terrible and they’ll tear up the web of your hand. I found a set of Ahrends grips that this model USED to come with, and they feel amazing. (I just don’t care for rubber grips). The recoil is not painful as so many others say, even with good wooden grips. It is stout, but with practice it becomes very manageable. I had the cylinder cut for moon clips and did some minor trigger work….. this has become my favorite carry gun for a lot of reasons. 1 pound lighter than a stainless 629 4” is not insignificant for carry. You will learn to manage the recoil with practice, just give it a chance.

This is a cool gun. Loaded a lighter 200 grain magnum load for it and shot specials. Only complaint is that the sights are ridiculously high. Function well though. Seems trivial, but if you're going to have a cool, expensive gun, why not make it a sexy cool expensive gun.

Haven't been able to actually test the M329PD yet due to ammunition shortages, but apart from some small details, I love the feel of the wood grips. The front high visibility sight doesn't sit flush with the pin, which has a slight wobble, but am sure that might be a rare defect. Or my FFL smacked his head with it during my background check, because the cylinder was dirty. If Smith & Wesson makes a .460 version of this revolver with a fluteless cylinder, I am definitely purchasing one through Buds Gun Shop. Their speed and service blew me away!!!

I've ordered from Bud's before but they really outdid themselves this time. It was only a matter of days after my order was placed that my gun was at my Colorado FFL. Fast, fast, FAST! I've taken the 329PD out once since getting it. As other folks have stated, wearing a glove makes the experience better. Fit, finish, timing and lockup are what you'd expect from S&W.
