as an old soldier, probably my favorite battle rifle ever. I use this for hogs when I find them in large groups. Long range and effective. I had Bill Bassett mount one of his mounts on it before he passed away, had a scope on it for a while but I just love the classic look of this wonderful weapon and I am so proud to own one.

This firearm is everything I thought it would be. If I do my thing right, it shoots my reloads into sub MOA groups at 100 yards with a scope. I am able to hit the smallest gongs at my clubs 300 yard range. The purchase with Bud's was without any problems. Great communication from sale, shipping, and delivery.

Excellent rifle. The one I received has one of the nicest looking stocks I’ve ever seen on a Springfield M1A. I have only put around 100 rounds through it so far but it has flawless. The trigger is nice and it seems to be very accurate with Winchester 7.62 NATO. The NM front sight is nice, not to small but fine enough for accurate slow fire shots at distance. The iron sights are some of the best ever put on a rifle in my opinion. My only complaint is the fact it comes with only one mag. For the price they should send 3-4 at least. Buds was smooth as always.

AWESOME!! I am very happy to have purchased this AWESOME firearm and Buds has gain a new customer. Overall, after shooting the M1A Springfield I am now thinking of getting the Super Match M1A as well. The shot group is less then 1/2 inch together at 50 yards. And the ammo that I was using was not your top of the line ammo. I was shooting the PMC Bronze FMJ 147 grain. I am looking at another rifle so I might have another order soon.

Overall first impressions out of the box, An extremely well built rifle, exactly what I was looking for.
Pros: Perfect wood grain on the stock, Came with a nice zippered+padded carrying bag that included an Army TM for the M14; As well as some informative articles on the M1A series. The upper Handguard is fiberglass/plastic. This is the CA legal model, so it ships with a 10 round magazine and CA compliant muzzle device.
Cons: The factory muzzle device which is orginally OEM on the rifle does not ship with the rifle. Which is unfortunate because that will easily run you $50, nearly the same cost of a new 20 round magazine. I plan to move out of CA soon, so it would of been nice to atleast have that on hand.
Regardless, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and will definitely be purchasing from Bud's again in the future.

Buds is getting better and better. Be careful to double check the model number with the manufacturer. The photos may be different than what the model number is. That is the only complaint. The photos could match up a bit better. I picked a CA compliant M1A by mistake cause of the stock photos that are used. The muzzle break was a quick and easy swap though for the GI flash hider. Buds is hands down the best deal in town though. You will NOT find an M1A Loaded with NM barrel and sights for less anywhere. I guarantee it! These are some of the most expensive rifles in production, so why pay $300 more (and that's not even including tax) when you don't have to? Shop at Buds. Their cash discount price is well worth the wait. I had my rifle in five business days. Not everyone will get an order that fast but I certainly did. There is no wonder some Gun dealers hate transfering Buds gun shop orders. They simply can NOT match the value. Now I have the rifle my Father carried when he was in the military. As the old saying goes: This is my rifle, there are many like it, but this one is mine . . . . . . Thanks to Buds!

I already have a super match safe queen that is fine tuned and only shoots hand loads. I wanted something more flexible with iron sights and able to shoot the walmart ammo. I looked at the PTR 91, FAL, and even a SCAR. All of these rifles have good accuracy some better than others but there is something the m14 has the others dont.....classic wood good looks. And its american. Thanks garand for the creation and thanks Bud for the rifle. Rifle came in un-used condition brand new with 10 round magazine and a m14 operaters manual from US army (something my match grade didnt come with) Im sure it will shoot great and serve me well.
