Haven't been able to take this to the range, yet, but it has a great look and feel. Even my FFL dealer was admiring it. Good detail work and nice clean, strong construction. Nice looking tool for one's toolbox. The weight and barrel length should make shooting magnums a pleasure.

Great revolver, in .357 mag this gun rocks, really like the 7 rd. vs the 6 round model 66 Taurus I have, feature,(that's one more zombie down) accurate @ 25 / 50 / 100 yds., fit & finish are excellent, This is my 5th gun purchase from Bud's, and as usual, it was FLAWLESS, revolver was in my hands in only 4 days! This is my 4th Taurus revolver (in .357 mag) and I have no regrets.

I have shot a few hundred rounds of 38 and 357 out of this gun. No problems, very nice blue and sights. Trigger is very good in both single and double action.

I shot my new Model 66 for the first time this afternoon. It is an impressive looking revolver and feels great in the hand. Regrettably, within a few rounds it started locking up every few rounds, and I found a piece of copper jacket cut off and left on the edge of the forcing cone at one point. I have had a great experience with my other Taurus (PT92), so I'm willing to be patient and see how good a job Taurus does in fixing this revolver before leaving a bad review. I'll update my review after testing out my revolver upon its return from Taurus.

For the price it is a decent gun. You are getting what you pay for here, a gun that functions with acceptable quality and good accuracy. I do however wish that I would have paid more and got a higher quality gun like a Smith and Wesson. If you want a fun gun to shoot, buy it! If you want a gun that is a showpiece, avoid it.
