I shot my new Model 66 for the first time this afternoon. It is an impressive looking revolver and feels great in the hand. Regrettably, within a few rounds it started locking up every few rounds, and I found a piece of copper jacket cut off and left on the edge of the forcing cone at one point. I have had a great experience with my other Taurus (PT92), so I'm willing to be patient and see how good a job Taurus does in fixing this revolver before leaving a bad review. I'll update my review after testing out my revolver upon its return from Taurus.

For the price it is a decent gun. You are getting what you pay for here, a gun that functions with acceptable quality and good accuracy. I do however wish that I would have paid more and got a higher quality gun like a Smith and Wesson. If you want a fun gun to shoot, buy it! If you want a gun that is a showpiece, avoid it.

Great price, best I could find, and fast shipping! Ordered this on February 18th, arrived on the 23rd! Have only put 100 rounds of ammo through it, half being 38 +P and the other half being .357 Magnum, and I'm itching to go put another 100-200 rounds through it. Recoil is minimal, grips are comfortable, trigger is smooth, and the finish is nice and sleek.

Concealment isn't quite practical with this because it's pretty big compared to 4" barrel or smaller revolvers, but concealment isn't that big of a deal to me. I have a holster and use this gun as my primary sidearm, and it's more comfortable to carry than the previously carried Taurus 82, which weighs almost the same but has a 4" barrel.

I know Taurus sometimes gets bashed, but I've never had issues with mine, nor have people I know that have Taurus guns. Before I bought this gun I read numerous reviews of owners, and the Model 66 appears to be a bulletproof revolver. I intend to buy Taurus guns in the future, in fact, I'm eyeing a Taurus PT92 9mm, but for now the .357 and .38 Special will suffice.

First time I ordered from here, but I was impressed. I had an issue with a holster I ordered, where it wouldn't secure the gun properly. Returned it and was given a refund, along with my cost to ship the return! Because of the refund of my shipping costs, Bud's now has a customer for life!

Perfect revolver for anything you need it for. It's versitle and extremely tough, I don't think anything will ever go wrong with it.
