Wilson Combat's drop-in beavertail grip safety provides better control of your pistol while eliminating the discomfort and hammer bite that are possible with stock grip safeties. To return you gun to stock condition, simply re-install the factory part. The drop-in safety is designed to work with a commander style hammer or a bobbed spur hammer. Due to variations from one pistol to the next, slight modifications to the beavertail's trigger engagement area may be required for proper operation.

Did exactly what I wanted and the finish is perfect,

dropped right in to my GI model RIA .45 1911. No modification needed and fit is amazing. Looks like it was custom made and not just a drop in. Feel is amazing and it takes the "bite" out of the GI model squared off safety. Also gives that iconic 1911 look with the Beavertail safety.
