The XD-S Single Stack .40SW comes with both flush (six-round) and Mid-Mag (seven-round) magazines. It features interchangeable backstraps customize grip circumference, matching magazine sleeves so the Mid-Mag (7 Round) fits seamlessly too. The black polymer frame saves weight while the forged stainless steel slide and Melonite hammer forged barrel put strength where it s needed most. Its sights are designed for speed with a fiber-optic front sight that leaps into the sight picture. The rear combat-profile sight offers a simple notch so there are no distractions to divert attention from the front sight.

This gun is my absolute favorite! I take this gun everywhere with me as it is a great concealed carry gun. I like the 40 over the 45 for this small frame.

Shot 150 rounds of 3 different ammo types out of the pistol since I got it about a week ago. No failures or malfunction at all. Dependable? I would say absolutely based off my recent experience. I ordered 2 extra mags and have to say the 7 round mag aides in accuracy, allowing your pinky to get on the handle. The 6 rnd was challenging for me, but I'm use to full size pistols for the most part. The 7 rnd) mag didn't seem to affect the feel during IWB carry for me either. The trigger was stout and is in dire need of a trigger job. I was able to get on target fairly quickly but thought to myself several times during my session about how hard the trigger was. Plus, the trigger saftey started to hurt my finger tip. Note, all of my pistols have had trigger polishing jobs with the exception of my Chippa RHINO. 357 2DS. Great trigger, smooth action, enough said. The grip safety didn't bother me and I feel actually helped me grip the handle better, which was needed for this snappy recoil. The recoil (or kick) is really explosive, but I expected that. Don't get this caliber in a concealed carry pistol If you're a little wuss about recoil! I found it manageable with target loads. Was able to double tap within the target at 12 yards. Didn't shoot any hot loads out of it yet. I really like the sites on this pistol, don't think I will upgrade them. In all, I'm glad I purchased the XDS .40 and look forward to getting good with this snappy little devil. It's pretty comfortable to carry and I feel is dependable. Trigger is tough and I will be getting in the workshop soon to smooth her out. For the price I'm pleased!

Just received my new Springfield 40 3.3 2tn (XDS93340SE) yesterday! Took it to the range and ran about 50 rounds thru it.....wow what a awsome gun! Love it! Buds delivers once again!
