Bud's you are amazing!!! Ordered on Sunday night picked it up at my FFL on Wednesday. I was floored when I pulled a 1937 Tula Arsenal 91/30 out of the box! The thing is beautiful and looks like its hardly been used. All matching numbers, bolt and action are smooth as butter. Bore is shiny and rifling looks perfect. Markings show that it passed accuracy testing at the factory. Haven't shot it yet by I couldn't be more happy!

I'm happy with the rifle considering the price and the free shipping (and glad it wasn't completely covered in cosmoline) but I'm disappointed that this rifle listed as in "excellent condition" is really just "good condition". While the shipping was fast, the bayonet was rattling around inside the box, not securely padded or taped down. Also other blemishes on the rifle including corrosion in the barrel bring this down from excellent to good. The front sight was also knocked all the way to the right indicating some rough handling during packing or shipping, but a quick adjustment with a front sight adjustment tool resolved that issue. So overall definitely worth $150 shipped, but not excellent as stated in listing description.

I purchased this because it was a relatively cheap and I have an interest in WWII era rifles. It is a formidable piece of work. The metal is all in great shape for its age and the field gauge puts it at about new. The wood has a few dings but over all in good shape. It shoots about 8 inches low @ 100yds so I put a piece of 12g red wire insulation over the front site and now shoot just above the top of the front ring to be on target. Covered in Cosmoline I had to use indirectly warmed paint thinner to get that stuff off. And then hot water / degreaser on the metal not on the wood. After this I put in the hot attic this summer and let the residual bleed out. Thank god for youtube with reassembly. This is a great piece of history that still works. My first rifle and the love of my life is my M1 1953 Korean War vintage. Whoa what difference. I can hit an 8%uFFFD%uFFFD target @ 200 yards with very little adjustment on the steel sights. The metal machining is of the same quality but the after use is so different. Now I see why the history books says a WWII GI armed with the M1 was like 3 or 4 soldiers. Proud to preserve this history and show my club members the difference between what my father used in WWII and now a day polymer stuff - I think some are jealous. Would certainly replace if lost. I do not think I can wear this one out. Great buy. Thanks Buds

Not sure definInition of excellent is true. The numbers did not match so I do not think it can be excellent with unmatching numbers. Bolt, action, stock and receiver could be classified excellent. I asked and matching numbers cannot be guaranteed.
